Exactly right. The only true solo content in the game is questing, and even that isn’t always true.
It’s almost like people can change their mind. A rarity on the forums, I know.
How does not having groups for 1-70 content prepare a player either? How does struggling to find normal/heroic dungeon runs mid-late expansion help people prepare to join a raid team?
Plenty of people dont talk with each other in classic as they join dungeons. People still ninja loot and show toxic behaiviour and people still hold anonymity due to mega-servers.
The biggest hindrance i see to LFD is due to its cross realm nature, you cant recruit/group with players you encounter. But for leveling players, there ARE no groups in the first place. LFD expands the player pool for people who are behind the majority of your server in terms of level and gear.
We are already numbers to blizz.
The RDF tool is to help people who have trouble finding groups to do things with.
Considering everyone who uses the tool a number is self depreciating.
People use the tool to join groups with other people in order to do content they would otherwise have trouble doing alone or not efficient time-wise.
People choose not to chat with others.
It’s not the fault of RDF, it’s the fault of people not wanting to do so.
Then there are the people who chat simply to be obnoxious.
You could say that the ignore tool is also anti social in nature because it prevents other people from interacting with you.
Do you want that removed?
Outside of your guild and close friends there is NO communication on WoW outside of casual banter between pulls or random LFG chat.
If someone on the street while you were out shopping for dinner came up to you and started a conversation would you ignore him, humour him or tell him to piss off?
If you are in the library and reading a book and someone sits next to you and talks to you about something completely random would you ignore him to continue reading your book?
People choose not to talk.
I want to be able to queue for dungeons while I quest instead of spending hours spamming chat to do dungeons.
There is no social interaction mindlessly spamming “LFG RAMPARTS” and getting whispered by a dozen people saying “I’ll take you through for XX Gold”
It’s like this in EVERY game with grouped instance systems.
Go play Dofus.
I dare you.
Then you will change your mind about having such a convenient tool like RDF in WOTLK Classic.
That troll is obsessed with me. Apparently being open minded, listening to all perspectives, and changing your mind is a bad thing. LOL. Obviously a troll would think that. I don’t give him the attention he so desperately craves. I just laugh and move on.
Anyway, I do think they should merge dead servers. But merged realms and connected realms are two different things.
You said that telling someone to play Retail for wanting an authentic experience is trolling and you report those posts.
You told someone who was complaining about LFD being removed that playing Retail is an option they could take.
Man, it’s really convenient that a person can be a hypocrite as much as they want and escape all criticism for it because all they did was “change their mind.” You call nearly everyone who disagrees with you on this forum a troll. Surely you know who the biggest troll on this forum actually is.
Paying to troll on a forum of a game you don’t play. Sad.
Bloomington?
Bloomsday I can ignore, Zaalg is something else entirely. I don’t think I’ve ever seen more hypocrisy out of a single person in my entire life. He does exactly what he accuses everyone else of doing.
Connected realms are merged realms that let you keep your names and technically gives you access to more character slots. For all intents and purposes, they’re the same thing.
My post has 38 hearts and yours only has 13.
There’s mah source
Ez math
Not gonna lie.
If likes ever meant anything then Youtube comments would matter.
You mean they don’t?
Yknow what impacts my ability to socialize in WoW? Nobody doing the dungeons I need to do. That’s a heck of a barrier to the Social Aspect™ of the game!!
Sitting in town spamming the lfg channel is what matters.
You need to understand that potentially doing dungeons with players on your server is more important than actually doing dungeons with players who potentially aren’t on your server.
YouTube is linked to gmails I have 26 work gmails (different departments) and 52 personal gmails. So if I had known about this I would have been able to add up to 78 votes and thats without creating more its the work of 30 seconds to make a youtube account its why there are so many spambots in comments.
I’m ready for an improved WotLK experience with no dungeon finder. I guess we know who is getting what they want.
Improved nothing.
Enjoy running the same dungeons with the same people until people get bored running dungeons and do nothing but sell boosts.
Enjoy mindlessly spamming LFG chat trying to get that Ahn’kahet run you suddenly feel like doing for a random blue you will replace in a few levels by running yet another dungeon you spent ages recruiting for.
Nothing but World of Boostcraft now and screw all people on lower population servers and people who don’t wanna spend hours sitting in one place trying to recruit for dungeons.
Explain how it would be improved. What exactly would be better?
Not seeing server communities crumble so that anonymity can take over the game will be pretty cool.
Server communities don’t exist outside of your guild.
If they wanna ditch you and each other for RDF then your guild can’t be all that social if such a little thing like RDF can screw it over.
Everyone should have the choice to either use it or not use it.
Saying that adding it would destroy the community is a load of bull.
