“Hey gang, editing another 5 Wild Card novels when I could be writing something you’ll enjoy!!”

(I have read a lot of WildCard books)\

EDIT: I dont believe for a second he “edits” these books that splash that on the cover.

A lot of people buy and eat McDonald’s doesn’t make it good food.

The book has been heavily critised by people who actually enjoy books for it’s boring and predictable Black and White morality, absolutely lazy writing with uncreative names and awful overused tropes like “the chosen one”, unnecessary filler that isn’t relevant to the plot, Characters are also poorly written mostly being archetypical and more.

I haven’t read any of her WarCraft novels I don’t think, but I remember enjoying her entries in the Star Wars Legends Fate of the Jedi series.

I don’t think I’ve ever truly disliked an author tbh, though the Star Wars Legends New Jedi Order series had some annoying inconsistencies with how authors described the invaders’ bio-tech. I’m pretty sure there was also a novel in there somewhere where the author repeatedly referred to a ship as something like “super fast attack ship” instead of the actual ship class.

Incase you haven’t noticed, I read a LOT of Star Wars Legends back in the day . It’s not the only thing I’ve read though, in fact I’ve read, reread, and listened to Jurassic Park so many times I could almost recite parts of it. As for Blizzard stuff, I read some of the early StarCraft and Diablo novels, and for WarCraft I read Day of the Dragon and the novelizations of Tides of Darkness and Beyond the Dark Portal (I wish they were available as audio books, I don’t have time to actually read anymore).

I like James Patterson’s steamy crime romance novels if I read or someone similar. Mostly because I can comfortably read them in one day. I get my fantasy fix from games typically. But I did read the redwall books when I was younger and loved them.

Been reading William Jordan lately

I dislike Tolkien. Every time anything fantasy comes out it is always said to be a Tolkien ripoff. He did not invent orcs,he was given a small action figure toy with that had a green vest and bright yellow boots…it was named Tom Bombadil, he took the concept of the rings directly from Wagner. The Shire was both the name of a pub he used to visit and is a very common name for multiple areas around where he lived. He claimed to create 5 languages… he didn’t even create one. Beorn that he claimed to have created actually came from Bjorn and also fights along side a warrior named Thorin. Terry Brooks as well as Robert Jordan were both accused of having stolen from him by the Tolkien estate.

His family insulted most of the cast and called them terrible actors. JK Rolwing used to be a fan of his, but when she too got falsely accused of ripping off Tolkien she began to also despise him and his family. She refused to finish reading his books after the treatment that she got from his fandom.

George R.R. Martin wrote the source material for game of thrones, but the book series I think was called “a song of ice and fire” and someone else essentially took over for the TV show and ended it before the book series was done

someone correct me if I am wrong

When I was growing up I read some of the books but not all, but I mostly cared for the movies. The third one with the defntors was the best one, but I stopped caring as much when it kept going on.

The show was supposed to be a big deal with snape dying and all that, but I felt… I dunno, cold. Like his character had more potential but they just killed him off before I bothered to really care about him in the first place.

I dunno, it felt anticlimactic in the end.

Some time had passed before I even realized the complete nonsense she was spewing on Twitter.

I don’t read fantasy authors. Generally speaking.

I did like the Mistborn trilogy, but I honestly have no interest beyond that.

Last decent book I read was “Old Man’s War” by John Scalzi, and I’m not even a fan of war stories. It was a good one, though. I liked the basic premise as a play on the old “Youth and agility will lose to old age and treachery.”

I feel she writes like a Year 10 student with a C+ average.

Yuh the movies are ok films but well still couldn’t escape all the problems with the books like the end of the Half Blood Prince “surprise Snape was the Half Blood Prince all along wow crazy” and then it’s just never brought up again being pretty irrelevant detail.

Fun fact about the Fantastic Beast Movies though the scripts for the first two films were written by J.K. Rowling but after Crimes of Grindelwald flopped they Steve Cloves who helped adapt the Harry Potter films into movies was brought in to help co write the third film :dracthyr_crylaugh:

Big fan of Noah Scribeson’s works.

Any elaboration available here?

12 years of waiting because he would rather help with a show that ended up tanking anyway.

it’s always hilarious to me how he does literally everything EXCEPT finish A Song of Ice and Fire.

remember a while back he was shown posted up with some instagram baddies

essentially the show creators ran out of material to adapt because George Martin won’t finish the damn series.

Thus we got the widely-hated last season.

I also hated how they ended Dany it was the cheapest of endings, and yes I do think that he told the series creators that ending, they already said that GRRM told them that Bran ended up on the Iron Throne. I wouldnt be surprised if he writes it so that Dany isnt REALLY dead. There is no way he will live to finish his book series he looks physically half dead now.

I don’t care enough to read their books :dracthyr_shrug:

And the strange thing with 14 year old girls and doing the dirty.

I’m actually just starting to read the WoW novels myself. I’ve got the first few from a friend and am starting with Blood and Honor. I plan to read them all in release order (at least the main ones). So I haven’t read any of Golden’s WoW books, but I have read a couple of her Star Wars books. They aren’t my favorite, but I didn’t think they were bad.
