They definitely aren’t wearing shield mastery because they’d have to give up overload rune which is where all of their damage comes from.
And the way of earth rune replaces shamanistic rage which is like all their mana regen, and also a mini-shieldwall.
If we’re talking about the afk shaman in OP’s post, he definitely wasn’t running shield mastery because no ele does, and MAYBE he had way of earth but I highly doubt it, and since he was afk he definitely didn’t activate shamanistic rage for the 20% DR
How is anyone okay with LS hitting over 200 dmg passively every second in an aoe around the character that can move…
No other rune or skill comes close to this.
It’s definitely OP, I’m not defending the overload rune.
But killing yourself slowly over 15sec against an afk player and not stopping to reassess the situation and maybe not kill yourself is a top KEK from me.

In PvE… yes.
Shamanistic Rage is 20% DR on a CD.
Way of the Earth is 10% DR and 30% Health and 6% crit reduction permanently.
Way of the Earth wins hands down on defensiveness, and it isn’t even close.

Because gaslighting is a thing. They know it isn’t balanced whatsoever and in this case uniquely punishes any melee not using a 2H, but they have to defend.

I think he means that he CAN dumpster Enhancement shamans like they do in classic era. (Where Rogues are OP and Enhancement are Victims in every regard.)
Mental Dex buff would have to be able to turn and hit the Rogue, for LS to start hitting harder. Buff is 10sec SO unless the rogues opens while your fighting something It wont be up. Also Most ele shamans are running burn for more flameshocks and powersurge procs with crits on lavaburst. WOE is pretty much only ele and tanks now 1handed uses with shields. The shield also aint going to block anything while rogue opens and hitting a stuned target from behind. IF not running WOE and useing Rage instead well you cant click that while stunnded either.
LS hit me for 288 per hit. And in the vid it was 177, was that shaman in trash gear to gaslight ?
The shaman in the video was in zero spell power gear and never attacked to get Mental Quickness rolling with ONLY the talent that improves baseline LS by 15%, hence the 177 damage.

at what point while stuned cheap to kd could the shaman hit the Rogue?
Why again you can have bigs pulls with shaman tanks doing 30% more dmg than any raider, thanks to one broken rune that they can just run around and never lose the dmg.
They dont even sacrifice avoidance like locks, or mobility like pally conc.

I also did further video testing where I wore full sp gear, a shield, way of earth, giving me around 4K+hp and tonnes of armor/block. and procced Md on a boar before the duel ( which is moot because OP claimed his target was stunned the whole time and wouldn’t have MD up anyway)
And guess what, still doesn’t even come close to dying,

The only source of information about your damage taken were the numbers up top over your portrait since you hid the combat log. You don’t want to be treated like a joke? Don’t present clown evidence.
Yes. That’s how testing and proof work, you show all the variables involved. His damage to you is relevant, which means his gear and buffs are relevant.
