Ah well The Boys is a black comedy satire based on the comics of the same name. ( The comics aren’t great, Garth Ennis was wicked bitter because he haaaaaaaaaaaated superheroes )
The tv show mostly does commentary on stuff like social media. Its doing its own thing with it. But oh boy is it not for everyone. Violence and some pretty graphic but hilarious scenes. Like their take on the whole “Antman vs Thanos” thing. They one upped that idea but I ain’t saying how.
I’m familiar with the premise - I live my pop culture life through Wikipedia, yay - just never seen episodes.
I like the concept of MIC-based superheroes. Like a perversion of the superhero mythology: we just make ‘em like any other war machine.
oh lol. Well I’d recommend at least giving it a shot. I ain’t gonna judge folks that get turned off by the violence and debauchery.
Homelander is just so fun. I just wanna shrink him. Put him in a jar. Give him a stick and a leaf. And just shake the jar over and over lol
I was hoping she was Susan herself but seemed too sinister.

Yeah Homelander likes to throw lil tantrums when something he doesn’t like happens. The “jumper” scene he just finds out right there that a girl he liked died. It was also his birthday so he instantly takes it out on the person he’s supposed to save.
Yeah I don’t think she’s Susan. I think we will see Susan though in the next season.

I am rather exhausted, unfortunately. 
Had a couple of restful days after we got home, but my PC began acting up, and we’ve already been in and out of our local electronics place trying to figure out what was wrong with it. It’s useable, but with some odd graphical issues that lead us to believe something might be wrong with the GPU.
Not the best thing to come back home to, but I am doing my best! It’s unfortunate that the wife and I are both a bit clueless with the more technical and hardware aspects of PCs. Mine is about as old as hers, but while she had hers custom built, mine was a prebuilt.
May be about time to start trying to set aside funds for building my own soon.
I hope everyone has been doing well, in contrast to my current woes!
Im veeeery casual and new to the series myself so my exposure to it has mostly been through a small handful of scenes that were reposted on YouTube. And YUP. I already got the gist of it lol, I don’t understand how people can watch the show and just not understand any of it.

I don’t watch many shows myself. I sometimes can be swayed to watch a new series (or new to me) but mostly i have comfort shows that are my emotional support background noise.
You know, after I posted above I realized I forgot that my watch suggested I watch Loki. That was pretty fun. Gotdang that Tara Strong jump scare near the end of the first season got me.

I’ve actually had to uninstall a game to reinstall it to fix an issue with the game, (caused by a mod that was used before official mod support). Problem is, the download is slow.
