Translation: You can’t challenge a word I say with a rational argument so out come the mocking jokes.
Fact : “Today gender orientation is generally accepted, especially in the free blue states.”
Ok, dig deep for another insult, it’s all you’ve got.
I mean.
I live in arizona. We JUST became a blue state which surprised me. That doesn’t just reset my states issues.
Then you got stuff like terfs. People that claim to be democratic yet are absurdly transphobic.
This crap is complicated

Generally accepted seems like an exaggeration
Almost tolerated in some blue states and openly hated in most red stats is more accurate

Question is, how does Trans challenge democracy? If you believe in freedom, all you have to do is ignore LGBTQ and they are not a problem. After all, freedom not only means you get to do what you want, it also means others get to do what they want to do as long as no one is harmed.
But if you are LGBTQ and the far right base types are calling you a pervert and trying to cram their moral values down your throat you can’t just ignore them to make them go away.
Anyway that’s what we believe in the older free blue states. Democracy and freedom work well together.
It’s not terribly complicated, but people feel the need to compartmentalize literally everything in their minds as black and white. I’m pretty conservative, but I do believe that women should have control over their own bodies. Hell, I don’t even believe the government should regulate that period. That type of thing should be privatized and funded as such, not by the public sector. But tell that to my conservative friends, and they hate me. You tell that to a good bit of the democrats, and they hate me because they want the government to put their stamp of approval on it, rather than just not being involved at all. It’s a bizarre world right now, and it’s not one made for common sense.

Liberals would not mind if the government was not involved in abortion at all.
The issues is that some states are outlawing abortion and liberals feel it’s what Thomas Jefferson called an “unalienable right” which is protected by the 9th Amendment of the US Constitution.
That right was protected by Roe v Wade and PP v Casey until the Supreme Court took that unalienable right away from the people.

Apparently you’ve never been to Massachusetts. Around here being straight or gay is like having blue eyes or brown eyes. No one cares.
In the Bay State it’s the anti gay bigots that are hiding in a closet.
Welp… 7/1/2022 still going… curious thou… did you get the results you were looking for? Just curious
“And we are very happy about that fact.”

Sorry, I should have added something like “from my perspective”. Without it, my statement seemed pretty matter-of-fact That was my bad
Sall good mate. Just explaining.
Thankfully therapy helped a little that I can kinda see shades of gray but its a heck of a lot easier with fiction. Once real people get involved my brain peaces out most of the time.
