This was honestly my assumption as well lol. I thought they were some troopers at the conventions—heating up a storm.

“We costumers have our ways. We can get very creative, when it comes to comfort.”

“Closest I ever got to making a Furry is I made a Haunted Carousel Horse. It’s a Humanoid Black Horse. I used Anti- Gravity, Heelless Shoes, so I look like I actually have Hooves, without having to deal with fake Horse Feet. I am pretty proud of that one.”

“I want to make a Long Haired, Purple, Cat, but I am not sure on how to make a realistic looking cat tail.”

“The name caught my attention as well. I saw them online and told Hubby I HAD to have a pair. He bought me three pairs of them. They inspired the costume. You would not believe how comfortable they are.”

“Google them. They are so wicked cool.”

I imagine some of the younger ones or more rash ones probably are. I know some cosplay folk who made heavy duty cosplays that had no cooling and just went with it… only to decide they’d never do that again.

Some use a combination of vynal tubing and cut into segments pool noodles to get a more natural moving “tail” might be a good option for a cat tail. I think they have some wire or rope go through the canal tubes to curl and twitch it at random times not 100% sure.

“I was thinking about wrapping a long spring, in a pool noodle, to give it some extra bounce.”

Could work most cut them up to form a “spine” think like this maybe

I mean, it’s the fault of the people who come in the thread just to troll lol.

“I thought about that, after you mentioned it. The fur I am going to use is 6 inch nap Fun Fur. It won’t need a vary fat core, so I think a slim spring, and one of the slimmer pool noodles, should work great. I will consider segmenting the pool noodle(s), though. Thanks for the idea.”

this is the blue grey doggo Has a curled tail but I hadn’t taken any pics of it. Im honestly half tempted to put a squeaker in his nose just for laughs tbh hah

and again most likely I will only make it a partial as full suits take too long and too hot X_x Eventually I’ll try to make a HM tauren but Im not sure what kinda material I would use…maybe some kind of felt or minky faux with long pile fur…color matching is the hard part though via computer xD

hah thank you! I think my original one was a bit creepy due to the eyes I had used the round ball lids of shampoo bottles to carve out eyes painted and used sunglasses lenses for the black but hes also a resin base and was a first try
