Is your position that LGBT individuals are, broadly speaking, not marginalized? At all?
From your posts youâre saying this as someone outside of the community correct? I mean youâre wrong either way but I find it curious
You have youâre own thread thatâs specifically protected by the Mods even though it goes against forum rules.
No, youâre not.

Not in the West.
Youâre not marginalized. Thatâs the paradox.
Youâre straight wrong.

A forum doesnât really mean weâre not marginalized by society
Not in the West.
Texas and Florida say otherwise. Or most of the bible belt. We still have to deal with anti trans stuff and the âDont say gayâ bill in Florida that even Disney is funding

Thatâs not what the bill is even called, nor itâs subject matter. And what do you mean anti-Trans? Thereâs a trans swimmer that won a national title.
You guys are not marginalized.
Thatâs not what the bill is even called,
Its what it is commonly called by the public
nor itâs subject matter.
Yes it is
And what do you mean anti-Trans?

Youâre going to have to find a more credible source than NPR and Twitter for me to take you seriously.
Of course thatâs the response. Very well

The rest want me to turn off my adblocker and I ainât bothering with that for some forum
I recommend
We should normalize LGBT identities so as to reduce marginalization.
So many movies with black representation but racism against them still exists. Itâs not simple as you are portraying.
Yeah but its a heck of a lot better than it was in the past
Thereâs a reason I used the word âReduce.â
Representation cannot get rid of marginalization on its own, but it can help to improve the general societal attitude towards marginalized people.
You canât dismantle systemic oppression with a magic TV show, and Iâm not going to pretend otherwise.
How is that anti-trans? Itâs just preventing parents from butchering their kids and making them sterile?
Because denying trans folks their hrt or surgery makes their dysphoria worse and bumps up their chances of suicide.
So let them do it when theyâre adults.

Your community is more being used by corporate companies, politicians and film stars to appear progressive so people buy their stuff
That support is all on superficial level
/points to blizzard scandal. This company claimed all sorts empowerment and support for woman and minorities like LGBT
But beyond surface there was totally another picture going on
As someone that went thru that actually growing up. I donât recommend what youâre suggesting.
Having dysphoria is one thing. Having dysphoria and being forced to watch your body change into something that doesnât match at all dang near killed me.

And its totally not pandering when its non lgbt. Mhm
