I got what you meant tho, no worries.
I should have included abusive people in that list too.
One of the things Iâm righteously angry about is how environmentalist education has been done since the 80s.
I believe in climate change and all that, but I donât like how they teach people, especially kids, about environmental issues.
Thereâs a lot of guilt in environmentalist education. We tell people itâs all their fault. That they must recycle, and buy an electric car, and new energy efficient appliances and stop wasting energy.
No one considers that some of those kids are abuse survivors or have behavioral health issues or depression that drastically amplify guilt. No one considers that those kids might have a physical or behavioral health disability that makes things harder to do. No one considers that not everyone is or will be financially able to buy a super expensive new car.
And people internalize that theyâre bad people if they donât do these things or else and when they canât because of disabilities or financial anemia, they basically self-flagellate and abuse themselves due to things that they might have no control over.
That is not okay with me.
The truth is that if everyone stopped using plastic straws, started recycling, bought better appliances, turned their AC temperature up, and bought electric cars, 100 companies would still create 70% of global emissions.
We need to instead teach people that they should do what they can within their means to the best of their abilities and not hold it against themselves if they canât do more. That and we should teach people about corporations being the main cause so people will go full Karen on the corporations.
Gods, yes
Iâm so sick of corporations doing stupid âwe all gotta do our part!â nonsense when they produce more pollution than I could in a 100 lifetimes
I recycle, I clean, I reuse bottles and stuff
I ainât really making a dent in pollution, but Iâm not greatly contributing to it either at least
That would be a weird flex but you do you.
Pro tip: Just add them to your ignore list
Theyâre on mine, and I finally remembered why, they made a lot of horrible posts, so theyâre not even worth me typing for 15 seconds to respond to
I didnât see that post. Probably because I blocked them when they were caught posting on an alt expressing pro-lgbt takes and posting anti-lgbt takes on that toon in the same thread.
Iâve never even heard of them lol. Shows how little I actually pay attention.
Yucky that that happened
Impossible. Iâm a legend around these parts. When you hear the name Sevenstorms the ground quakes and opens up under you as everyone frantically tries to hide their computers under their beds.
TrollsâŠ
I only recently started using the ignore feature cuz I normally donât care enough
So they must of had some extremely bad takes for me to actually use it
Youâre going to hurt my feeling Malgorok!
Huh. Well I believe you! Iâve actually never used ignore on the forums, but I definitely have in the game. Mostly because I donât know how
go to your profile and preferences and go under the mute section and it should be an option. Just type in my name and you can use the ignore feature.
Just go to their profile and use the drop down to select ignore
Or if theyâre extra degenerate-y, theyâll have hidden profile in which case you just go to your own profile and under notifications you can manually add them to the ignore list
Ignore is glorious.
If you canât view someoneâs profile, quote them, copy their name and server name from the quote code, go to your settings and to the ignore section and add a name.
My ignore list is full of toxic high elf posters. Not seeing them keeps me from telling them to go pound sand.
Thanks! I may have to use it one day. We arenât there yet, but one day.
I implore you tell me how I can get there! For scientific purposes of course.
I mean⊠why?
Because itâsâŠfun?
