I question the same thing. I’ve seen LGBT+ people get banned for inoffensive things but trolls and people who spew especially egregious hate and the T-Trolls face nothing.

I just flag and move on most of the time because it’s not like I’m going to change their minds. I have better things to spend my energy on.
It’s almost like people are minimizing and trying to excuse the fact that this individual/group has been doing this for months (possibly years based on some of our digging) on end, with the sole intention of creating as much disharmony on the forum as possible, with the side effect of breeding renewed hostility towards the LGBT community, while operating under the complete protection of the Moderation staff.
Almost comes off as a similar “Boys will be boys” mentality.
Trolls will be trolls, as it were.
I support people who are responding seriously to the bigotry as well as those who flag.

True, but there are quite a few posters doing that honestly. Anyone against them is ‘with OP’ despite plenty of evidence to the contrary. They decided to bad faith their way towards me from the get go because I disagree how they go about things.
There definitely is, there were social media posts about certain members of plenty of teams being as such. It wouldn’t surprise me if they go for the ticket queues on the forums and get through as much as possible to avoid the real mods that take action from seeing them.
It’s sad to see how poor customer service and moderation continues to get, but at least it’s still not as bad as it is over on EU. You can compare them and at least the US forums get a bit more moderation.
Evidence is to the contrary there, actually. Tons of them are still around and never get actioned. You shouuld know this.

Posting at someone, especially in the way I’m doing vs the way you’re doing isn’t harassment. The fact that people liked your posts is telling.
The forum troll isn’t a big issue imo. It’s the people who take a forum troll as an excuse to engage in open bigotry.
Well I feel like the lack of moderation plays in to this, and the hate in the community.
These threads all go the same.
But of course, the troll isn’t a big deal or anything, making a hot bed for all of this for years now. Let’s just ignore the troll.
Edit: If these threads stopped, the phobes and the bigots would lose their stage. They’d keep their opinions and vitriol to themselves or they’d make their own threads, get reported and get banned. The forums would be a healthier place. But no, the troll isn’t the problem.
