People have been selling gear/mounts/etc to one another mid raid since forever. Heck, I’ve seen it plenty through the years, even during transmog runs in Ulduar when it required more than one person. 
Do I agree with the practice? Not really, but whoever wins their loot can do whatever they please with it. Whether I agree or not is irrelevant.
I didn’t think that. I see very high level gear people needing on things they don’t need. This is a first for me seeing someone wanting ME TO PAY FOR GEAR they don’t need …in LFR raid. I got the boss down too, and should not have to pay for gear! I think it’s exploitation and cheating. Simply. That is MY opinion.

You are entitled to your opinion, and you could open a ticket to see if Blizz agrees with you that it’s cheating, but the system established by Blizz does not guarantee you gear for getting a boss down. It only guarantees you a chance to roll. If you had won the roll, you would have gotten the gear and no one could have charged you for it. Someone else won the roll, and it was their prerogative to keep it, sell it, or disenchant if they so chose.
I would agree that in a perfect world, no one would be allowed to roll need on gear that wasn’t an upgrade, but until Blizz makes it work that way…

Good for them for ignoring a request to give LFR a functionally worse system for all these people swearing they need the gear, just because some folks can’t mentally handle seeing someone roll against them.

It’s not an exploit in the “breaking the game” sense. But it is exploiting a way the GL system works. It’s definitely a douchebag move.
Me too. Me too. PL’s true trump card over GL that makes it far superior in pug environments. I really see no reason why blizz can’t give the current GL or even ML to the premades and let the rest of us have the old PL back. A win win for both types of groups.

Wait, people are saying you can easily get better gear than LFR in “basic content” or “emerald dream”… where?
Where can I get champion gear without M+ or raiding?
I know of Aurostar, TW weeklies, and PVP weeklies.
Any of those those will take months. Am I missing some champion loot fountain in queued content that people are so quick to push aside LFR and tell people to “get over it”?
It may take longer to get drops from Emerald Dream weeklies as well if other peoples’ luck is anything like mine. 9 times out of 10, every single character, main and alts, receives double of the same item from 2 of the 3 chests (always something I already have), with the 3rd being absolutely useless anyway.
The only weekly I ever got champion gear from was Auro (about 1 piece per 26 kills). Everything else (rep weekly, superbloom, seeds) was vet. Do those actually give champ gear sometimes?
Nah, they do not, but these are still upgrades for a lot of people who are just trying to get their 2 or 4 set. Auro is the only thing to actually drop Champion level gear in the open world…though it’s like you said, rare.
Selling ingame items for gold has always been a thing, its nothing new.
They won it, they can do as they please with it.
I sold an lfr tier token week 1 on my alt for 100k to a dh that whispered me after i won it, it wasnt my intention to sell it and i intended to use it but easy gold is easy gold.
5k is cheap, i know you feel ‘cheated’ but you both had equal chance at winning said item.
Like i said i recall selling nature resist drops in mara back when you needed nr on gear to clear AQ 40, running gdkp runs in mc/bwl/zg, being paid gold to open doors - it has always been a thing.
