LFR... Propositioned by player needed... then "Trades" me the gear for 5K gold? When did this becomea thing?

Also now that I think about it I haven’t had anybody charge for gear, but I’ve mostly just been doing keys.

One guy I know did pay 900k for the LFR 2h from Smoulderon, though. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

Wait why don’t we have DKP runs on Retail like on Classic?

I can turn a purple piece of gear into 800 gold.

treat lfr as a flight stone and crest farm. winning loot is the bonus roll. your entire goal for loot is in getting slots unlocked for the vault.

granted, i think they should have double the loot in lfr with both group loot and personal loot dropping. (all of it tradeable if you already have an item of the specific upgrade track or better. ignore ilvl as it varies too much for trade rule purposes)

this way, everyone always wins something, even if its the 65 millionth cloak in a row.

Many years ago. When soulbound loot became tradeable within the group for two hours…

I’d just close the window and try again next week. Always roll need though. Always.

How about folk like you go away? People like you are part of why gaming is a cesspool of yes men and pennie pinchers.

no, not quite because only just recently has it become possible to trade GOLD cross realm.

so before it was only really viable to give it away or try and get some multi step gold trade operation going where the gold goes to a lvl 1 alt and you hope they come back and finish the traded item before time runs out.

its now more secure and easier to do so it can happen a lot more because there are no annoying steps in the way.

that said, i dont think i have seen anyone asking to sell an item to any of my alts. but plenty of random players will open trade with you expecting you to give them the loot you just got even if its the wrong armor type.

What’s the issue with any of these?

I have yet to see it either.

NOT until after the TWW pre-patch when we get Warbands and Cross Realm Guilds. I like being able to easily trade gold and other items to my alts on other realms.

I have my whispers turned off, so I don’t have to deal with drama “can I have that plze” I can’t hear you , and no it’s an upgrade for my character. Either way whispers are going to happen.

Just turn whispers off when going into LFR

I do miss personal, it’ll go straight to my mailbox without people begging for it.

LFR has always been a special place

You can get into a Normal Pug at 444i. Or you can run a few low Mythics to flesh out your gear. I would only run LFR toward the end of the week to try to snag that last tier piece.

A few seasons ago when tier was hard to come by I was making six figures selling tier pieces to people. If the price is right I’ll buy pieces or sell. Win win.

I think it’s wild that one person can do something unsavory and the entire game is somehow to blame for it.

It’s weird cause you’d think selling gear you didn’t even need to roll for would be recurrent. But you only ever see it in LFR. Odd.

Better fix. “need” = item soulbinds to you. If you don’t need it/want it, don’t click need.

That way people can’t “need” for friends, can’t “need” to sell etc if they need it, it’s stuck to them

I saw it in raid for augury but yeah, never in keys. Everybody just passes on stuff they don’t need, which at this stage of the season is most stuff in 20s. :dracthyr_comfy_sip: :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

So I can’t change my mind, or trade the item if something else drops in the same run that’s better itemized? Because some jerk sells throwaway gear in LFR? Okay.

My response to that player would have been.

“No thank you. You won it it’s yours.”

Yeah exactly. They do it because people buy it. Same thing for bots and gold farming really.
