LFR Loot Rolling Needs a Serious Overhaul

People might actually use the transmog roll function if it just gave a separate transmog unlock only version of the item. Maybe even have 2 mog winners and 1 real item winner so your odds of getting the mog are better if you rolled mog.

Or, they could have just kept personal loot and it was nobodies business if you wanted it for transmog or to vendor or to disenchant.

if you are walking into LFR for the sake of item upgrades, outside of tier set, you have bigger problems. Like basic endgame gearing literacy.

Many people walk into LFR looking for upgrades in gear so they can begin doing other higher content… pretty straight forward reasoning. I’m sure you believe you got a handle on it and no one knows what they’re doing

look at my character sheet, then look at yours.

I said what i said for a reason.

Many people have done higher content to make farming mogs easier and to carry others along the way…

I’ve yet to even begin PVEing.

Sweat harder?

Fragile ego of the terminally online, I know.

That’s nice.

Then you don’t even need LFR gear. PVP stuff is better and dual-purpose. That’s kind of the entire point, anyone urgently needing upgrades out of LFR isn’t putting in nearly enough effort to take pity on them.

Like my motivation to level my alts is farming the season mogs right now. Delves let me do that with catalyst. But lfr gives you extra chances at that loot, thus less catalyst charges and then you can save the catalyst charges for higher mogs.

Since its like 4 different color sets you try and collect if you can. Lfr gets you 1/2 of those color sets.

I’m not arguing it for me… I have a 596 ilvl and I’ve yet to touch mythics at all or actual raiding, did like 4-5 devles with a few friends. I’ll get around to it eventually, but there is no rush. Doesn’t change my opinion at the end of the day though, it’s a ninja in my mind.

I understand you wanna catch all the colors, that’s fine but if it’s over someone who actually needs it as a gear upgrade, I will always call that a ninja.

LFR should go back to personal loot for 2 reasons.

  1. When loot drops, it is guaranteed to be usable by the person who won it. i.e. a boss dropping 4 agi daggers when there’s no rogues in the group. (even if it’s not an ilvl upgrade)

  2. one person doesn’t win all 5 pieces of loot from 1 boss. (because RNGesus has a bad sense of humour.)

If we’re talking ego, how can you seriously say your opinion is more valid than mine, when you self admit you don’t have endgame experience?

Who said I don’t have end-game experience? I said I haven’t started PVEing, meaning this expansion. I have a couple AOTCs and KSMs, you can look it up yourself on whatever website allows it. I’ve also never said my opinion is more valid, they’re just opinions… you acting like you did almost instantly gushing about your “gear” shows me you’re an egomaniac.

Plus you’re drawing conclusions that also make less than no sense. :person_shrugging:

yes, you have no current endgame PvE experience, and are attempting to tell a 2.3k m+ score and 7/8h player that you know better than them. That’s an absurd amount of ego.

Seeing as literally nothing in this post is an issue, nor is it anything new other than the fact they clicked on a button to roll instead of automatic, no, the system is fine. Folks just need to accept that they don’t always get the item they want off a run.

That’s because you don’t check achievements… I know your ego probably got in the way.

Quote where I said I know better, I got all night and we know you do as well.

I know how to gear, I don’t need assistance, but this has been a discussion about NEEDING for TRANSMOG in LFR when people NEED it as a gear upgrade to advance further into content.

Again, I understand your fragile ego doesn’t allow you to think of anyone other than yourself.

LFR runners do not deserve drops ‘more’ if they’ve been too lazy to do anything else for gear.

There is no point in a tier, from start to finish, that someone in LFR isn’t going to need a thing as an upgrade. It could be the final 3 hours before 11.1 maintenance starts, and someone will “NEEEEEEED” that thing in order to prepare an abandoned alt for the new content.

The fight worked pretty good with the bots. Maybe thats the direction they need to take LFR. 10 or 25 bot raids. Just pick your class and enjoy the ride without all the drama.

I would be perfectly fine with that LFR.

at least we would finally have clarity if LFR is a stepping stone to raids or a storymode.

if you are seriously claiming upgrades come from LFR, you clearly do not know how about the endgame gearing process.

So you can’t find a gear upgrade in LFR? So someone with a 567 ilvl won’t get an upgrade from LFR? :man_facepalming:
