Imagine having to sim gear pieces, what a cancerous behavior. TBH they need to make things more clear cut so you don’t need over complicated, out-of-game methods, to figure out which piece of gear is better. It should be as simple as higher Ilvl = better, with perhaps some small exceptions for trinkets.
Because I’m in a cutting edge guild?
They aren’t flawed when basing upgrades.
If item x does 5k more dps over item y even if item x is 10’ilvls below item y item x is is still an upgrade.
Imagine learning what droptimizer is. Or actually doing content before commenting and showing you don’t have a clue how it works.
But it’s not how it works. Not everyone enjoys braindead mechanics.
I think the only reason you like it is because it fuels your superiority complex.
You should stop thinking.
I like it because it’s miles better than PL. I’m just not an entitled child that’s biased.
Should be need (upgrade of items you can use for your class) > greed/transmog
Weren’t people complaining in shadowlands about wanting group loot over personal loot back? Has this come full circle?
Agreed. I’ve been saying this for years. Need/Greed is a stupid system, that gets abused in so many ways.
Guilds forcing “Loot council” or other systems~
Players needing when they literally have higher ilvl/better pieces…
Ive never felt like I got less loot, in my 20 years of playing this game.
That’s not the case for every guild though. My guild has gotten far more mileage out of group loot than we ever did from personal loot by using the options as intended. For guilds where everyone agrees to master loot, including with a loot council, group loot is also better.
For PUGs, there are certainly ways it can go sideways and PL might have worked better. But just because you may have had bad experiences with guilds misusing systems like group loot doesn’t mean it can’t be used to good effect in guilds where loot simply isn’t the cause of drama.
It’s not even abused. It’s entitled children getting mad they lost a roll.
Probably the dumbest thing I’ll see today.
Your feelings dont change how the systems work.
you not getting loot is not abuse.
me being a nice guy screwed me… Last night I was main tank (demon hunter) and a trinket dropped (the only thing i could roll need on) so I did, oddly enough I won. No sooner did I win the other tank (a druid) whispers me and says dude, thats my bis can i have it? I said sure and just gave it to him…
next boss (the queen) - we killed her and an item drops I really could use, i lose the roll (of course - i never win anything i would actually use) and low and behold the guy that I gave his “bis trinket” too wins and i said hey, i could really use that item, can i have it? and he said no and left the raid.
I love humans…
It’s arguably not, as I’ve shown:
- You can roll Need on anything that might be considered a gear upgrade, but NOT on everything that is considered a transmog.
- The transmog roll exists
Therefore, it’s those rolling Need on transmogs that are logically operating outside of the bounds of the intended system. You’ve rationalized a justification that you’re the one “in the right” due to the lack of ability on Blizzard’s part to accurately determine what an upgrade is without extensive calculations (as we’ve specifically discussed in these forums) and taking advantage of that.
It’s like the old “take a penny, leave a penny” jars. You take all the pennies because you know you won’t get in trouble and declare “I’m buying stuff too, I have a right!” because you know no one will stop you.
You haven’t shown anything.
People can click need for any reason.
In fact in PL would automatically click need for them.
So your main argument for GL being bad is how PL operates.
You’ve confused the rules of the system with the rules you made up in your head. Need is something for your loot spec that you don’t have equal or better.
I’ve never argued for PL.
I just showed you, logically, that the transmog roll is meant for transmog. Otherwise you could roll Need on any item that you could possibly transmog (spoiler: you can’t)
Edit: Updated “transmog” to “need” in the type of roll.
Players : “Loot rolling needs a overhaul!”
Blizz : “Ok what should happen with rolling”
Players: “After I finish rolling, I should win the roll”
Blizz: “…”
I do it for trinkets/mobs/valorstone. LFR is easy enough that half of the raid dies you can still down the boss. Since delves don’t give enough valorstone LFR is the next best option other than m+
AS FOR LFR loot I roll need when I can if it is a mog piece you bet I am not trading it away but neck rings and maybe crappy trinket if I have better I usually just trade it to the first person that ask.
You can roll transmog for any item with a transmog you don’t have. You don’t understand the system
With out these overgeard players lfr would fail more then win.
