LFR is DEAD! : afk, auto follow & auto attack players. 😴

I am been playing it. That doesn’t mean I enjoy it, or find it better than retail.

I’m really not sure where the disconnect is here.

Your opinion. Not everyone wants that. Even with Group finder you can still look for groups the old school way. The classic community is just as elitist and toxic as on retail. Stop trying to paint it as better when it’s not - it’s just different.

Oof, must suck having to play something you don’t enjoy.

Who cares about gear, enchants, etc. I’m talking about activity, like players pressing abilities. They don’t even have to be the right abilities. You can just spam frostbolt over and over for the whole fight and have 99.9% activity. When the group averages 70% activity, that means they are literally doing nothing for a third of the fight. And like I said, we easily 1 shot every boss.

You said people get kicked for being AFK, and it’s only 1-2 people not trying. I’m saying that if you log your next LFR run, you’ll see a majority of the group giving minimal effort, even in the good LFR groups.

I came back to Retail to try out the 8.2.5 content and saw that the Wrathion quest was locked behind an EP clear (or at least the last wing), so I was like, ‘eh, whatever. LFR it and be done’.

OOooooh boy. Was I wrong. We wiped and only kept wiping. Healers trying to DPS, DPS just screwing around, tanks not having ‘taunt’ bound to keybinds and just trying to DPS down the boss…

By the time we finished and I unlocked the storyline, I just kinda said screw it and logged off. Still haven’t done it yet.

The players over there don’t go into it expecting to be able to afk and be carried through it. At least the majority don’t, anyway.

Hard to do that. Most of the groups are smaller and having even one person drop can, not always but can, lead to a chain reaction that wipes the entire group.

That’s what you get for playing lfr, warfronts, island expeditions, world quests and all that worthless filler stuff

75% of all statistics are 100% made up.

I do not consider dungeons a community activity. It’s an instantanced content in which the goal is to complete the dungeon, and earn exp, money, and loot along the way, and possibly complete a few quests.

If people go out of their way to make it a community thing. For example an RP guild, then that’s cool, then it’s a community thing.

Does your anti-convenience stance spread outside of the game? Do you avoid life conveniences because it would rob you of the experience of life?

I do not consider it me wanting -instant- gratification. I just simply don’t enjoy spending additional dead time waiting to do something I want to do.

There is nothing engaging in that 30+ minutes of waiting for a tank, to the point we just decide the enchance shaman can do a well enough job tanking, just so we can get started on a dungeon we’ve all been in a group for 45 minutes on.

Right, that’s what I’m saying. Players in that game know they have to contribute the majority of the time or they won’t clear. Plus it helps that most are playing the game because it’s fun, and not because it’s a chore they feel tethered to.

I have my friends to keep me going, and I managed to find a nice RP guild for down time.

I also just swap to retail whenever I need to get away from the monotony.

It’s mildly cathartic to jump on retail and explode everything in stranglethorn, after dealing with stupid freaking trolls for an hour in classic.

Should I call the police? Do these people have a gun to your head to force you play something that is just SOOOO awful?

Just talk about Tacobell if that’s a yes.

FYI /follow hasn’t worked in years.

Why are you being melodramatic?

I know, its almost like if you look at the bottom of my post (that you literally just quoted) I said something along those lines.

Huh.

I never once spoke for anyone by myself and made that very clear. I gave my personal view point and opinion and made it exceptionally clear.

Out of LFG, LFR, and the Group Finder tool I would argue that the Group Finder tool is the least problematic of the tools and if only two of the three could be removed I would agree the Group Finder should stay in some capacity. I still think all three have taken too much away from seeking out people and communication as a whole though. But I have expressed that opinion quite a bit in this thread already.

I have not done any such thing. Toxicity has nothing to do with anything in my statement, my statement is socialization as a whole. Don’t keep putting words into my mouth.

Because it’s fun.

Unlike Classic, amirite!?

Alright, so your just here to troll.

:v: Okay.

Then why we boot 6 people from a raid i just run. Let you know they gear check and if gear high and you doing low dps. They will boot you. Some even reporting now. Not going to do any good.
