LFR is DEAD! : afk, auto follow & auto attack players. šŸ˜“

:man_shrugging:

They may as well add a skippable feature to skip the bs since you really can just afk for the gear.

I somewhat feel like theyā€™ve tried to do that in Bfa. In pretty much every expansion iā€™ve played since lfd came out, people have always been incentivized to run a random heroic for endgame raiding items. Frost badges, Essences in legion, currency i canā€™t remember the name of in wod / cata. In bfa, theres not much of a reason to run a heroic once the possibility of upgrades is more or less dried out. Sure thereā€™s that satchel for roles that are in high demand but thats about it. All the decently challenging content are now something you need to personally seek a group for. I think lfd really stays in the game at this point because they want people to at least see the dungeons and raids still.

Shame on you, Nyaria, for actually taking time out to try out something you dislike, just for the sake of appeasing your friends, and finding that how you felt about it to begin with was warranted!!! playful sarcasm if unsure

For me personally, I enjoy both Classic and Retail, I swap to which ever Iā€™m not playing if Iā€™m tired of the other.

Good on you! I was going to ask since you do find it still to be rather mundane, why you keep playing unless it was for your friends who play, and then I stumbled on the quote from you just now.:blue_heart:

Move the queue to Normal, drop the ā€˜LFRā€™ difficulty, and get rid of determination stacks. Boom, just solved a ton of issues at the same time.

Unless Blizzard just knows through all their various numbers and metrics that the player base has gotten so bad that removing LFR would lead to the gameā€™s death.

In a world where retail and classic exists. You play both versions and yet play classic even if itā€™s not enjoyable? That makes not a lick of sense

But why?

Why not just leave LFR as it is. If you donā€™t want to deal with LFR. You can simply not queue up for it, and just skip to normal anyways.

Alot of people just want to queue up for LFR for beating up big baddies, with a small chance at less than stellar rewards. :woman_shrugging:

Instead of removing LFR, why donā€™t people who donā€™t like LFR just not queue up for LFR?

My friends are great people. I can put up with a lot of minor annoyances to simply do stuff along side them.

At least I have my totems back, I can take comfort in knowing that once upon a time my totems were more than just very crappy healing ā€œCool Downsā€

There isnā€™t enough ā€˜troll factorā€™ involved with ignoring a feature you donā€™t like.

I donā€™t really feel like posting the reasons why on a topic I have covered in great detail many times before. That was just my bare bones opinion for this particular thread.

I agree. There is a benefit to making raids require premade groups.

Leave after the 3rd or 4th wipeā€¦not worth it

Iā€™ve seen many reasons people give for removing LFR.

Most of them boil down to people feeling that people havenā€™t ā€œearnedā€ the right to the purple gear they sometimes get from LFR (Even if it is weaker than any other version) they feel like they havenā€™t earned seeing bosses taken down, and in general just complain that they think itā€™s too easy for people.

Or you know, the actual elitists that want raiding to be something only a small minority of players can do again, so that they can stroke their own personal egos.

Iā€™ve also seen people try to claim LFR is adding to the item level bloat, even though it quite provably is not.

Iā€™ve also seen people blame LFR for issues they have with Titan Forging, or players who try to jump into things they arenā€™t ready for, or blaming LFR somehow for being the reason raiding is dying, ect. ect.

None of these really hold any water. Most of them are blaming LFR for things LFR has nothing to do with as well, or are just people being jerks online. :woman_shrugging:

Then thereā€™s simply the troll factor. Of people wanting to stirr the pot.

Just as soon as they remove all quest, profession, and story content from raids so players with no interest in raiding arenā€™t penalized, Iā€™ll support rethinking LFR.

This isnā€™t a single player game. If you want the full story, if you want to advance your characterā€™s power, professions, ect. then you put in the effort otherwise Youtube exists.

This is an MMORPG and its beyond time it returns to feeling like one in my opinion.

Donā€™t know. More than likely thatā€™s just you reading into things that donā€™t exist, which you do quite frequently.

Actually it does but Iā€™ve already shown that to you in the past but you conveniently forget things that fail to meet your goofy threshold on actual information.

Again, donā€™t know and more than likely is another case of you seeing things that arenā€™t there.

Raiding shouldnā€™t be mandatory for storylines, especially not campaign storylines, that you cannot continue unless youā€™ve completed raids. Just like in BFA.

LFR exists to allow players to enjoy piling on a big bad and taking them out, and in some cases advancing storylines that are open world storylines that get gated behind a raid for no reason. :woman_shrugging:

My Tauren heritage armor should not have been gated behind a raid, yet it was. Despite no other armor set in the game being gated behind anything but a level requirement and/or a reputation requirement.

Iā€™ve been in alot of anti-lfr threads.

You just saying the posts donā€™t exist doesnā€™t mean they donā€™t. They do, and Iā€™ve been in extremely long arguments/discussions with people over this.

I know threads exist, but whether they are ā€œelitistā€ or people wanting to restrict the shinies, you have no evidence of outside the obvious trolls.

You may be shocked to learn that the first M in MMO isnā€™t ā€œmandatoryā€.
