What actually happened with the old loot? i hate this roll kind of deal.
I used to get more loot the way it was before, or at least it didn’t feel bad to lose all the rolls

Name checks out.
Because he wanted it.
Transmog takes priority over dps
Geared people do not exist to feed you gear. Unless you are paying for such a service and/or part of a guild or organized group where it is the collective best interest to pass gear around and/or allocate it to the most beneficial (which isn’t always the most undergeared). Why in the world should I pass on gear to some random person I almost assuredly won’t see again?
LFR has unique mog tints. Blizzard said once they were considering and/or working on giving people who do higher tier content the lesser tier tints automatically. Pray this never happens or you’ll quickly find that geared people have far less of a need doing LFR
Edit - Note that “I” actually do pass on gear I get in dungeons and keys. I like to think my positive Karma generation is worth more than some random bracer or boot mog I’ll all but guaranteed not to mog into anyway and since I appreciate when people offer up gear to me or my alts, I should be doing the same too. Never expected but still nice if/when it happens. But LFR the only reason I’m ever doing the mode is for mog tints so nope…I’ll take my roll and that’ll be that.
If it’s not an actual “worn gear upgrade” players should NOT be allowed to roll need on it.
Transmog is a desire. They want the item for appearance sake. Want and Need are different concepts. Most people’s parents teach them the difference before they start kindergarten. So we are all horribly disappointed in yours.
Btw can u turn Web-Wrapped Curio already??
Everyone’s needs are going to be different in any aspect of the game, and all of them are valid, whether it is for player power, transmog (or vanity in general) or crafting. You don’t have to like it, but that is also a personal problem.
I need shards for enchanting.
Any content that drops disenchantable loot is fair game.
I would be more than happy if the loot was shards or dust or even gold reflecting the current AH price of aforementioned items.
People roll need on everything because there is no reason not to. There is no cost to them for rolling need. Someone else gets screwed over but that’s not their problem. They personally only stand to gain.
This is the problem. The mentality that you not winning a loot roll means somone screwed you over.
This is how an adolescent reacts.
There is no reason not to because otherwise even semi geared people are running the raid as a charity to the incompetent. If Blizzard did implement some code that didn’t allow someone to roll need on items that they already have a higher ilvl piece for, then why the frick is the geared even there? What can they possibly stand to gain?
This is ignoring the fact that the geared person is almost guaranteed to be contributing far more of the overall output that led to that kill in the first place yet does not get a weighted roll based on activity and output which I am not advocating for but would be “fair”.
How about this…on any need vs greed roll, if someone hits pass they automatically get the mog look and 3x the gold price from whoever won the item via a need roll and said gold comes from the winners gold (and if they don’t have the gold to payout everyone who hits pass their need roll is downgraded to greed). Maybe even rig it to only apply to people who was wearing an item 2 tracks ahead of the piece that dropped.
I love fashionframe.
I’ve seen that attitude before. It usually lasts until they’re the one that losses the roll.
I would ask the same question. If you already have better gear, then why are you there?
If you think you’re doing charity work by showing up to LFR then my advice would be: don’t.
A gear upgrade should always come before anything else. I think there should be something implemented to stop something like ninja looting… at least in the early weeks of release, people are trying to gear.
Given how modern wow is played, lfr should probably just be personal loot and personal loot should be an option for other difficulties.
What’s your alternative, forcing everyone to always roll need on everything no matter what?
Let’s be honest, that’s what we have now. Anyone not rolling need on everything is doing themselves a disservice.
LRR tints, items to blow up for mats, potentially experimenting with a modified build/setup.
Point being is the geared person contributed and likely more than their fair share and deserve their shot at the spoils.
Also you conviently ignored the rest of what I said
You think you’re Blizzard’s gift to LFR and deserve a tithe. Is that the gist of it?
If you’re referring to your suggestion. It’s not great. There are simpler ways to accomplish the same goal. Like making the LFR appearances a reward for completing the raid. Or making the higher level variants award the lower level appearances as well. You seem to have over-complicated things based on the idea that players can’t simply have nice things and that someone needs to pay a price for it.
Bring back PL enough of this crappy old system
