LFR - if you have better, why roll Need?

So, if I win on a transmog roll, where is the physical item going? The winner of the greed roll? Or is there always an appearance to the highest transmog roll and the highest need/os/greed gets item and appearance to encourage people to wait till the end to maximize their odds between the two rolls?

Because I’m eligible to roll Need on it and I’ve determined I need it for one reason or another. That’s why. If I participate in the content and pull my weight, which I do, then why wouldn’t I be eligible for the reward?

It isn’t for others to determine what I need in this video game.

Because the Transmog Roll will always lose to the Need Roll.

Wanting a reward for participation, rare and expensive epic crystal one absolutely need in order to do enchanting, transmog, trading it to a friend that’s also in the raid, hell, even playing god with the items to decide who “deserves” it, just so that the goo that jumped down the platform on purpose to afk doesn’t get rewarded for their terrible behavior.

That’s all legit reasons on their own, before even talking about if the item is an upgrade.

Physical item goes to whoever wins the need roll, if you have better, you only can roll transmog.

Sadly I think you are right, but they could solve 90% of this issue by doing exactly that.

Wouldn’t solve it at all, as transmog isn’t the only reason to hit need on a lower ilvl item.

This zoomer attitude is so sad. When WOW first started we used to group for dungeons etc and when items dropped we’d discuss who needed it and if it was a clear upgrade for 1 person would usually happily pass to them and congratulate them.

Now in the zoomer generation, it’s just all about them and their entitlement. Really sad how society has changed.

So doubling loot and encouraging folls to wait and see which roll gives the highest chance? That seems likely to cause issues, and doubling loot is a hard ask

Players can solve 100% of it by ignoring what other people have on. No action from blizz needed.

And let’s not forget the many many posts from the PL-only crowd who insisted that nobody should be able to take away their loot for any reason. That same logic applies. Whoever wins the roll deserves their loot because they participated and won. Nobody else deserves it more.

This isn’t about how society changed. You’re not entitled to someone else’s items

Nobody is entitled, but the attitude was so much better before the Zoomers came along to ruin MMORPG’s. What used to be a discussion of “hey, is that an upgrade for you? it’s just a sidegrade for me” is now “I MUST HAVE IT BECAUSE I WANT TO SELL IT FOR 100g AND I AM THE CENTRE OF THE UNIVERSE”.

Grow up. You didn’t get the item. Nothing wrong with asking anyway, but coming to the forums to whine that you lost a roll on an item is childish.

Good question. I’ve had this happen to me a lot. Will whisper the person and they will be like “git gud” or “i’ma just vendor it lmao” should be against TOS honestly. Something about upholding community standards idk.

How dare someone… Not give you their stuff? You want that to be against ToS?

Mog or for a friend. :dracthyr_love_animated: I’m equally entitled to it.

This isn’t about me, I only play with guildies and the game is much better for it. Doesn’t change the fact general zoomer attitudes have infected WOW now and it’s sad.

The sad thing is that you keep calling people zoomers for deciding what they do with their items

I still don’t understand why they changed personal loot in LFR.

Because a large amount of people wanted some form of group loot for raids, so they gave us group loot for raids.

When wow started, letting the lowbie get the gear was beneficial to you as a group. LFR hero number unknown will remain unknown for the rest of our playing this game.
