LFD kick abusers have made the WoW experience miserable for my friend

I got vote kicked on a new healer in sl for not being able to heal a monk pulling massive. They were a 3 stack queue. Then i got a 30 minute abandoned dungeon timer

The number of people mocking a new player for not being good in a leveling dungeon or assigning mythic level raid homework for it is insane lol

I am the master of my own destiny, except when I get a 30 second lag spike and get immediately removed from group with nary a word or whisper. Its totally my fault that my internet or wows servers had a momentary brain fart that I should be aggressively punished with a dungeon removal and a 30 minute deserter debuff. I am the master of my own destiny after all.

this is the state of wows playerbase, so much so that when they go to other games they get a massive culture shock that its not ok to openly abuse people and the games systems for their own ends that they have to create or use terms like toxic positivity to vent their frustrations at not being given free reign to be jerks.

Aaaaw thats really sad, well sadly even more you cant do anything about it, blizzard won’t protect you from toxic players or your new friends, but im sure with time, Votekicking system will get removed OR changed to better

Don’t really worry about that, its very common to not enjoy those dungeons with antisocial people…
I recommand you to try get him know few basics, because most players just expect you to be better, if they cant use you they’ll just kick you’all

  • Its sad but that’s the truth

How was there 5 people and no one was able to solo the boss? Was this classic?

I don’t even know who you are but with that low post count that probably means I have your other character on ignore so it’s time to put this one there too.

Another word you don’t seem to know the meaning of is “troll.” It’s not trolling if you’re 100% serious.

And if I’m so “inflammatory” then do what I’m doing and use the ignore function.

I mean, running Wailing caverns is a waste of time to begin with.

Wasting time is why we come to the forums. Wasting time while having fun is why I get on the game. People need to be a bit more zen about things in group content and we’d all have more fun.

Not saying just accept absolute terrible but leaning toward chill is the way imo.

I wanted to heal at first but advice from friends was I need to dps for a couple of years before even trying to heal, and heal for a while before trying to tank.

If you’re playing the Healer (or Tank for that matter) it really is upon you to know the mechanics of the fight as players (rightly or wrongly) expect this, especially when running what they consider to be old content.
Basically, run it as DPS first and you’ll avoid a lot of grief.

This. I literally just roll my keyboard while watching netflix as a leveling toon and can’t remember the last time I got chewed out for doing badly, much less getting kicked. You’d literally have to intentially grief/mass pull/afk to get a kick from leveling dungeons.

For lack of a better term, VTK is heavily “abused.”

People kick for whatever reason they wish; it could be as simple as a mistake and they don’t care to deal with you, to not wanting to play with someone with an ugly transmog. The reasons are numerous and range heavily as to how much any given thing impacts the group.

Firmly a believer that if you are getting VTK’ed that you should be aware it’s happening. The kicker should also have to type at least a 50 character amount for why and to vote “yes” should also have to do the same.

Just to be clear, I don’t see VTK used often at all, might be less than 5% of dungeons for me. That said, when it does occur the reasons are predominantly terrible and just want someone thrown away instead of just telling them a handful of words to help them.

Use the tools available that the game gives players.

Dungeon journal is a start
Trash leading up to boss shows hints of mechanics

Many people who play wow are not nice and you have to have a thick skin.

u literally only reply to harass others and u are very well known for it

u are on ignore by a ton of ppl for a very good reason

even now, you try to flex your 24/7 on WoW forums post count as if that… means? anything? at all besides that you sit on the forums being toxic to others for no reason

in breath 1 the clowns say its all faceroll…then before they start the second breath theyre kicking someone over some circus clown reason lol.
if its so easy, they should be carrying that player theyre whining about.

It is faceroll, and thus the fact that someone manages to die in it speaks to just how bad they are - it doesn’t require advance knowledge, historical experience or anything else to stay alive; the bare minimum of function is enough.

There isn’t a particularly good answer; it isn’t any more reasonable to expect people to utterly carry someone that bad than it is to expect them not to kick them. This is ultimately a team sport where you have zero control over your teammates, and in extreme circumstances such as the OP, a lot of people are going to reach negatively to such an instance.

Realistically, the best case for someone like the OP is to get another person in their group so that the remaining 2 members no longer have the capacity to vote-kick them. Expecting an external remedy to the problem when you already have access to an internal one is kind of a non-starter. It sucks a bit that this is the reality of the situation, but nothing is ever going to change about the fact that a significant number of people are simply going to have this response to this situation - no amount of calling them sweatlords or elitists or MDI wannabes or anything else improves the experience for the people described in the OP.

For what reason? they can’t do anything to influence the outcome.

If 3 people in the party (4 if it’s a premade 3) don’t want to play with you, you’re gone. That’s it.

If you get rid of that, LFD no longer works.

I could see it being helpful, when the reason is something not immediately obvious like not following a specific mechanic (orbs and squids on Lord Stormsong jumps to mind as something people would not understand, the twins in Jade Serpent library as well) but in all honesty, 70% is liable to be “afk” “ignoring mechanics” “refuses to switch to tank spec” and another 10% will be stupid things like when the healer last week wanted to kick someone for being level 70 in a timerunning dungeon, or some classics like not ressing/interrupting in level 10 dungeons when the spell is not available at that time.
