Nothing is stopping you and your friend from creating your own group instead of joining random queued content. People don’t like having their time wasted just because you friend gets “overwhelmed”. They don’t owe your friend anything as a complete stranger.
Before the dungeon re-scaling, I found it almost impossible to learn mechanics in anything below a 10, stuff just died too quickly.
You need to read dungeon guides before running the dungeon.
One more consequence of m+.
Isn’t Disc Priest the spec you most need to anticipate mechanics on to be successful? Maybe he could play Shadow until he is familiar with the dungeons?
“muh MMO’z” in action lol
I dont EVER want to hear one of you whining that this game is a MULTI PLAYER GAME again when you clearly DONT CARE that it is based on your posts/behavior that clearly show us that you all TREAT WoW as a SINGLE player game.
This goes for any team based multiplayer game with strangers. LoL, DotA, CS:GO, Valorant, ect.
This is you making strawman arguments. Every person in the group makes an impact, positive or negative.
You have yet to address the actual point of my post that you responded to. I stated that the OP and his friend could always create their own groups without relying on LFR/LFD.
Perl, is time to lock this thread? Discussing the issue isn’t the point obviously. Some just can’t seem to handle the truth.
That wouldn’t be up to me. It would be up to the moderators.
Thats a shame, All I can say, if it ever happens, someone is getting kicked for a very good reason…
In 5-mans, resto druid and disc priest are both heavily reliant on anticipating mechanics to be successful. In some fights, preservation evoker is also going to struggle if they don’t anticipate the fights well. I’d say in general resto druid needs to have a better handle on the fights than disc priest because the group healing is more beholden to preparation and CDs. But in the context of this discussion, disc priest is still quite reliant on that knowledge and so your point stands.
Honestly if this is the answer, then that kind of proves the point that a problem exists. Telling a person who wants to learn how to heal that the answer is to learn a completely different role and accept a 10x longer queue just to learn the mechanics of a fight from a different perspective is probably a sign that there is a larger problem to be solved than just one player wanting to get into a new role. Especially since there’s no guarantee that same person won’t be kicked if they are frequently dealing less than tank damage while trying to learn how to DPS when they want to heal.
Probably better for your fiend to keep getting kicked from groups then if he doesn’t want to learn the dungeon before taking on the responsibility of healing.
I only tank, so for me that really isn’t an option.

oh please, son…you telling fibs in here living in your land of denial dont change reality, sorry to inform you
get out of my notification box with your jokes…blocked
you all rail on about this being an MMO, while your BEHAVIOR runs off new players in droves and we ALL know it.
YOUR post literally proved my case for me. lol
swapping to another spec to follow a tank who knows the run certainly is.
Oh honey, I see you continue to dodge the argument because you know it’s true. They could create their own groups if they get deserter from being kicked out of LFR.
It’s weird to me to argue that you can’t abuse the kick feature unless it’s against the rules. Just go to the first definitions of “abuse” on Google, not that those are necessarily the most reliable.
verb
- use (something) to bad effect or for a bad purpose; misuse.
noun
- the improper use of something.
- unjust or corrupt practice
None of these imply that something isn’t abuse unless it breaks the letter of the law.
the thing is, blizz determines what is and is not abuse of the system, not forum busybodies.
and blizz has stated that it’s ok to kick someone at any time for any reason
edit I realized it sounded like I was calling you a busybody. I was not.
That’s sure to help bolster the surplus of healers we have in WoW…
Thats likely because the rational mind would look into what problems the kick was CREATED for…and we ALL flippin KNOW it WAS NOT TO REMOVE anyone over transmog and character race choices or just because someone wanted to.
They ALLOW us to do it ‘for any reason’ and…again…the RATIONAL mind fully comprehends that that is BECAUSE they dont have the manpower, money or desire to open up the ticket system to thousands of wrongful vote kicks that would certainly happen within the first day of making that an option. lol
Those who abuse the vote kick KNOW what it was created for…players causing chaos in whatever way.
THEY ALL KNOW it wasnt put in place to remove players ‘just because I can’ and anyone claiming that is being dishonest and they KNOW they are.
