I’m 42, married, have two young kids and a full-time job where I am (for better or for worse) the breadwinner. I grew up in the Midwest; I write software full-time. My greatest enjoyment from wow is playing with a group of social people that I actually enjoy who I’d probably want to hang out with outside of the game if we lived near enough. I’ve found that a couple of times in the past 16 (?!) years, but I took a break with Legion and coming back, my current active friend’s list is down to 3 people (and our schedules all differ). While I likely have more time in the evening, the truth is that I probably won’t put in more than 10 hours a week due to all of my other time constraints.

In my past, I’ve run guilds, built guilds from scratch, raided in server first guilds, been a cog, officer, gone solo, etc. I tend to tank (as a druid; I ran as a feral even in vanilla) in most of the guilds I’m in. I generally move to new servers and then level up on that server. For BFA I’ve decided to move to a Blood DK. I level up as tanking spec, but I’m not opposed to picking up dps as I understand how critical a tank is (and it’s time, gear and researching commitment) in a guild.

What I am looking for is a guild that I actually enjoy grouping with. I am really only interested in Horde. I live in Central time zone, but my weekday tends to be shifted a bit due to traffic… 9:30pm est would likely be ideal for a peak hour, though I’m flexible.

I realize you have said you are only interested in horde, but if you change your mind, I think Descendants of Lore would be a great fit:

[A] Descendants of Lore is a semi-casual Alliance raiding guild on Khadgar/Alleria that has been together since Vanilla (13 Years). We are a small to medium sized, close-knit guild of friendly, mature players, over the age of 18 with the majority being over the age of 40 with children and jobs.

We offer a laid back environment with dedicated players willing to put in the work to succeed.

We raid only 1 day on Sundays from 4pm-8pm CST. (2-6 pm Pacific) We are currently working on Heroic Uldir.

We are looking for mature, friendly, active, and dedicated players who want a solid core community over fast progression. Players who do not disappear at the end of each new content tier and who play and are active throughout the week and not just on raid days.

If you wish to raid, we expect you to come prepared (food, flasks, enchants, gems, know your class and rotation) and on time, come with a good attitude and know how to wipe with dignity and work towards progress.

We will accept anyone who would be a good fit for our guild, and can currently accommodate almost any class, but are especially looking for an Off Tank, and talented DPS (at least 10k dps for Heroic Uldir).

We may have a raid leader opening available in the near future for the right player or players.

You do not need to be a raider to join our guild, we also accept casual players looking for a long term family to play with. If you wish to raid with us, please be at least 360 ilevel or at least 10k dps before you sign up for Heroic raids. For those that aren’t we will help you get to that level if you show you are also working hard on your own.

Nexus on Turalyon [H] is looking for a few more good people.

We are a guild that’s biggest priority is having fun while killing monsters. We believe that raid progression is important and want to push, but not at the cost of toxicity. We have a good raid group that works well together, but want to add just a few more good people. We want our raiders to have the right attitude to push content, but the ability to have fun at the same time. We are a mature guild, with average age ranging in the 30s-40s. (We have many families, and completely understand real life priorities.) We spend a good amount of time in discord, both type and chat, and have a lot of fun together.

Guild Atmosphere

We have mostly adults here, averaging about 30 in age. We’re still plenty immature at times and we have lots of fun. There’s some dry humor, a meme channel in Discord and hidden bot commands to troll each other. We’re a family here. We spend the day chatting in Discord chat from our phones or work until people start getting home and logging in. We have people with children and families and share complaints about cranky children and spouses. We are a highly active community of people. If you joined Rally, you could physically raid 5 nights a week and a lot of people do. We bring alts to other raids or even raid the same raids again despite loot lockouts because it’s just fun to hang with these people and smash !@#$ together.

We are looking to recruit people who fit into our group well and get along. We are looking for people who care and want to learn and get better or are already skilled but lack the time to dedicate to hardcore raiding as well. Whether you still want to push progression or just want to raid once a week for fun and minimal pressure, please apply!

Hey there,

I really think our guild would be a good fit. All of us in the guild have full time jobs, ages range between 25-60 (I think) and there’s always someone on in the evenings, usually on discord shooting the sh*t and running bgs, world quests, whatever. We raid on Fridays and Satrudays from 7-10 pm est. Our raid roster is pretty filled out, but it would be nice to have a backup tank/dps. Not really pushing for mythic right now, but who knows. Atm, we’re 8/8H and 1/8M.

Hey Gixen, our raid times are a bit earlier than what you listed but I believe we hit all your marks otherwise. Tom Sellecks Mustache is an Adult Raiding guild on Thrall, we are a Normal/Heroic raiding guild. We may dabble in Mythic Raids if we have the time and the numbers but that is not our goal.

I came over from Alliance and another server, but the cost was so worth it! This is the most fun I have ever had in a guild. All I had to do was listen to them raid in Discord, and I knew I had found my home. Such a great community, there is always someone online, the people are friendly and helpful, and no one yells when you make a mistake.

I come from many years of progressive raiding but really got burned out and wanted a guild that was much more of a relaxed environment. I found that with TSM, I really enjoy raiding again. No one gets mad or rages, we just laugh and have fun while we raid.

No Bads Allowed is seeking dedicated members to round out our core roster and push into Cutting Edge for the next tier. Our guild is led by a current US 21/World 72 raider with plenty of experience and excellent raid leading capabilities.

[Mythic] Thursday 8:30pm-10:30pm cst for farm bosses.
[Mythic] Sat/Sun main mythic progression days 3:30-7:30 pm central.
[Heroic] Tuesday is our heroic uldir for our mythic raiders/sales run 8:30 central to 11:00pm. This run is optional but highly recommended for gear sharing.
[Heroic] Wednesday- Open to our heroic team raiders, mythic raiders, and mythic raider alts. run 8:30 central to 11:00. This team full clears heroic easily as well.
[Normal] Friday open to anyone 8:30 central to 10:00.

We push people to get 1 heroic clear and 1 mythic 10 plus a week done. This is * required for our mythic raiders. As long as there is forging in the game people should be fishing for titanforges.

More about the guild: We do it all, we aren’t just raiders. We are extremely active guild, the most active on the server, and more active than most servers/guilds. Our people do not just log on for raids once or twice a week. Our average age range is 28-35. We enjoy PvP- arenas, rbgs, bgs, wpvp, Mythic+, achievements. We have a very laid back but like to get stuff done kind of atmosphere when it is not raid time. When it is raid time, we get focused and serious and competitive in a non toxic results oriented manner. Very active and supportive guild filled with awesome human beings.
