Leveling is such a joke

That’s not what I said.

I am having to say that alot today

I am absolutely fine with adjusting the leveling process.

Have you tried talking to people irl?

So what did you say then?

I thought I was explaining why people do not want the same slow leveling experience of classic on retail.

Increasing the speed of leveling does make it worthless. There’s no real value to leveling when you can blitz through it in 6-7 hours without even trying.

Like, if your response to someone complaining about how awful leveling is is to point out that everyone’s done it several times, it certainly seems like you’re suggesting that the way it’s currently being done is a-okay.

Are there only two options for leveling speed?

4 hours and 4 months?

No middle ground?

“You don’t like the super slow speed of classic, then you must love the 5 hours of retail”.

But I am pointing out why many do not want the super slow speed of classic.

I feel there are degrees of leveling speed. I wouldn’t care if a middle ground was found. I don’t really have a dog in that fight.

Ain’t that the truth.

That’s not what you said, that’s also not what I said you said. I’m saying that’s what they did, and then I’m asking if that’s ok with you.

Either way, the leveling experience in Retail is a bit of a nightmare. It’s faster, sure, but it’s also garbage.

Classic doesn’t take 4 months. It takes awhile, and maybe it took 4 months in 2004 when we knew nothing about the game, but it hasn’t been that way for awhile now.

And for people who don’t care to level, there are extremely optimized routes that can significantly reduce how long it takes.

This is an appeal to an extreme.

Personally, I question the motives of someone putting their input on something they proclaim to not have a stake in, but alright.

Never been faster and yet has never been worse either.

I am gonna scroll up and see if you went over OP’s post with this same fine tooth of comb.

I question the motives of someone who only looks this deeply into one sides responses.

We’ve asked for a XP slider so you can slow it down.
Personally Ive leveled like 100 alts…I dont want it being slow again.
I get to level X and lock characters in old content and play that way.
Leveling itself is just sloggish placebo nothing numbers…the content is what matters.

I feel I have answered that question.

If you want it to slow down turn off XP. Most retail players enjoy endgame and max level gameplay. Thats why they dont play the slog fest called classic

I hop around to zones I love like Northern and Southern barrens and Winterspring, etc when Im leveling a new alt and avoid zones that bore me to death.
SOOO much prefer how it is now over zone >>> zone >>> zone, rat in a maze thing thru every expansion we had before.

    :+1:

I wish theyd just put the XP switch on one of the character panels instead of having to run back to that NPC so we could turn it on and off on the fly.
That one change would probably ‘fix’ a lot of the issue with some wanting to level slower…theyd be able to XP on and off without having to keep running back to the capital

Okay?

If you outright admit that you don’t have a dog in this fight, then it seems like you’re just here to argue for argument’s sake. I’m not sure how else to interpret that, but feel free to elaborate rather than giving one-note responses.

Slow down is not the same as turning off XP gain entirely. That’s a ridiculous suggestion to make.

No, they log in one day a week for their handout gear… Classic players are on every day, with the game being completely filled to the brim.

Lmao handout gear you talk aboit vaults from doing content troughout the week? Bro you have zero clie what you talking about troll

What was I arguing about?

Does this sound like an argument?

“Hey, some people like slow leveling. Some prefer getting to end game content. Different people are different. One of the reasons some prefer getting to end game content is because they have done the leveling journey multiple times”
