Leveling Experience in 10.x is too Easy

You clearly haven’t read two of my previous posts and it seems you keep bumping this thread simply because you get pleasure from being like “ohh, gotcha!” So this will be my last reply to you.

Again, you are proving me correct with this…

Literally asking for classic with achievements in retail.

But you’re a :troll: and know nothing else and have been roasted by everyone in every thread you’ve been in.

Are you intellectually challenged or just a troll? You are contributing nothing to this thread.

Stop projecting dude, you’re single handedly the worst :troll: on here… you make a thread, propose nothing and then get mad when people ask you for input while you give constant non-answers. You want to relegate levelers to one of two things… I don’t want to do cobalt assembly, I also don’t want my leveling experience to be boring, cobalt is boring, the long leveling grind like vanilla is boring. We want fun, not a longer experience that is still boring.

Fix the story, make us feel like we are a part of the world, making an impact… make us feel involved… SWTOR did it, why can’t WOW? Hell, GW2 and FF14 both have vastly superior leveling experiences too.

Not trying to take anything away from you. Sorry. I’m just brainstorming. Please stop antagonizing me or move a long.

No one is antagonizing you, you’ve been the problem the whole time. You give non-answers just to get roasted. You post something like this you’re going to get feedback, whether you like it or not. You said you weren’t responding 3 posts ago… stick to your word and stop faking this non-sense victimhood.

First off, not everyone enjoys leveling a character. To many like myself its a chore you must do before you can actually start playing the game. This is because end game content is when the game starts for us.

NGL. today I played with the freshy server hunter. lets see what tichondrius is like. MG and wra are retails homes for me.

40 to 60 in not much time. its nice. especially when you come off a s. priest in westfall. that char I have reaffirmed is a cata DE boosty really. I jsut need 1 more rdps to break up hunter spam in bg. I can wait. Don’t know how so many pigs in westfall don’t drop my items. All I know is 20 pigs later…I got 1 of 8. hahahaha…life is too short for that crap.

That would require Blizz to put more focus on the journey and not the destination, which with this current Dev team I don’t see happening. They are so Raid and Mythic+ obsessed they will never do anything to hurt that or their eSports.

If you want the classic levelling experience, then go play Classic. It is that simple.

/thread!

Nope it’s fine.

There is a issue in leveling, but so many people believe that leveling shouldn’t exist anymore. To the point where I believe they’d love a option to just have free boosts to 70 to do the content.

Ehh, you can argue the dysfunction is actually a lot to do with the notion of “the things you actually want/need to do in game.”

Do people really find playing the social/sports game of managing to get into groups (which is what most of the player base seems to ACTUALLY end up doing at endgame) that enjoyable? The vast majority of GD suggests they do not (though one gets the vibe a lot of folks here are sadists that enjoy feeding on the tears of the struggling).

The only people that really can wholeheartedly say the endgame is “where it’s at” are those who have static M+ groups, or who have sufficiently untrammeled RLs that finding a raiding guild is not an exercise in frustration (reality for most of us: first you have to watch the guild ads zip by until you find ones that actually run at days/times that actually fit our busy lives, and then we have to hope they’ll actually accept us and aren’t just, as 99% of guild ads for guilds that actually do content and aren’t just somewhere you’re expected to leave for a raiding guild once you hit cap specify, looking for “exceptional” players).

Meanwhile, the leveling process tends to be much more chill and relaxing (apart from the newbies vs. experienced speedrunners conflicts in queued dungeon runs), and this is doubly true now with Chromie Time so until you hit the current expansion level bracket you get to change up your routine each character - you can probably level every single class at this point without ever doing pre-60 the same way twice, between Chromie Time choices and the route options in most continents.

I’ll put it this way: the MMOs I recall having the most chill, least salty experiences with have almost always been the ones that I don’t manage to hit the endgame for while it’s current, and there’s got to be something behind that, and I’m pretty sure that it’s got something to do with that whole grouping thing (because, again, at cap grouping goes from an easy “hey, can someone help me out here?”/push the queue button experience to suddenly feeling like you’re trying to get into a professional sports league …).

I don’t mind easier but it is still soooo boring. I wish we had more options that were viable. Torghast, Island Expos, warfronts, MoP Scenarios, there’s plenty of things they’ve had throughout the years they could bring into the fold for leveling.

This right here is why I lose all motivation leveling when I hit Dragonflight. It’s either spam the same dungeons that you’ve probably run a million times, or do the same quests you’ve probably done a million times already. They really need to just add more ways to level in whatever the current expansion is.

In SL, you could skip the campaign without punishment, now in DF you can’t. If you don’t do certain quests in certain zones, certain NPCs won’t be available. Azure Span comes to mind here, if you skip it, you lose access to several Tuskar NPCs.

Maybe for experianced players, but that would make anyone new quit on the spot. If they level too fast, the learning curve increases.

It felt easy even in SL and I don’t think anyone wants scaling to get worse to where we have to outgear it a bit again or we’re slowed down like in BfA. For me it’s fine for the most part tbh.

Interesting way of framing that. I agree.

Prime example of the player base asking for one thing.

They get that thing.

They complain about that thing they asked for.
