I mean, I think Classic leveling was fun.
You could make some challenges out of it: see how far you get in only your starter gear. And then to add even more challenge, see how far you get without adding any talent points or new skills to your bar! That should enhance the difficulty somewhat.
That’s fine, it’s okay to like a grindy repetitive leveling experience… but I can tell you with 100% certainty that the majority retail mains don’t want that, so it needs to be made fun if it’s not going to be fast.
So they can boost.
/10
No. You deal with it, you are the minority… know your place.
So they can’t boost? lol
Why should we drop dollars because a single person wants a change?
I like this idea. I only got to about level 13 doing this but it was still a bit easy. and the scaling made it feel like a blob.
Is feeling Ike a blob a positive? As in, you just oozed over challenges with impunity?
Blob more as in it felt like there was no structure to the quest zones.
Hmm I need to organize what I’m trying to say better cuz it’s not coming across well, I don’t think.
Tedium =/= difficulty
Hate to bring up classic here (not really) but the market is not as big as some think it is.
See SOM, that flatlined.
See era…before the HC craze picked it up.
see tbcc/wrath fresh servers. We want new serves not poisoned by tbcc gdkp and such!
Go check out maladath’s ironforge numbers. I can wait…
…yeah the freshies died too.
Nah, I’m tracking now. My reading comprehension is debuffed in the late hours. It’s not you.
I know, classic people love to overhype the game as if it’s the most popular version of WOW, when it’s a few server that have a decent population. I want nothing to do with the leveling experience of classic, definitely not in retail. I’ll probably give SOM a shot when it comes out with the accelerated leveling but vanilla WOW? No real interest unless I have a 60 and it’d be purely for the simple PVP.
SoM was release right when Uladar was released for Wrath.
All those serves died because unaddressed gold buying.
I would like to see retail leveling look something more like Cobalt Assembly pre-nerf with leveling achievements adding for more of a challenge.
Edit: the achievements would require you avoid leveling styles like Cobalt and perhaps not use heirlooms.
Take off your gear.
There’s no reason for Blizzard to do anything when you already have it within your power to get what you want.
It’s still too easy with zero gear.
Agree to disagree.
If you want the Classic leveling experience, go play Classic, it’s still there.
B-b-b-b-but you can buy a boost! That’s his logic. Make it better for him and worse for everyone else. Lol.
That’s not my logic. That’s some twisted strawman you made of me in between trolling, insulting me, and undermining this thread lol.
