Levelers abusing layers

Layers were introduced to prevent overpopulation vs mobs in a specific area.
Not to bounce between them to exploit mobs that would otherwise not be in your layer.
What you said is grossly inaccurate.

lol, i heard him talking saying wheres my layers, need moar layers! kinda reminds me of “We need moar DOTS” ahah

Not really. Layering was added to allow the vast initial population almost all onto a single realm at once so Blizzard didn’t need to add hundreds of realms to deal with it.

Then, as the population subsides, so, too, does layering.

And if Blizzard didn’t want you to swap between the layers… they wouldn’t let you swap between.

Absolutely.

I think world first in Classic is more of a big deal than the first time around. Since everyone knows the routes and in and outs of the game, the competition for it is more fierce.

I’m glad twitch/youtube streams exist so stuff like this is public and blizzard can see how bad layering is for the game. I don’t think anyone doing this should be banned, and I know for a fact that even the ones doing this think it’s dumb, it’s just the best way to get xp based off what blizzard has given us.

Remove layering in p2 like originally planned.
Don’t hate the player, hate the game (devs)

They let you swap inbetween so that you can group with other people in different layers. Not to exploit mob spawns.

Ok, you make a good point.

He’s obviously abusing layering, and let’s face it, EVERYONE KNEW THIS WAS BOUND TO HAPPEN. Streamers talked about how they were going to abuse layering with their streamers to farm devilsaur leathers and avoid snipers. Blizzard added a delay to prevent instant layer switching, but maybe they need to increase the delay.

That being said, while he’s obviously abusing layering, I don’t think it’s worthy of a ban. So he’s grinding quickly. How’s that negatively affecting anyone else?

According to…?

You?

Who even cares? Omg he got to level 60 omg; now he can sit around doing basically nothing while waiting for other people to level up so then they can grind the same dungeon or raid over and over.

I haven’t killed a mob in 2 days, hundreds of alliance though.

Yep. It should never have been in, but crying about people making the most of it now that it is is ridiculous.

Planned merges we’re always the sensible route imo.

A pro sports player takes years to practice and become where he/she is at their respective level. A pro strong safety has taken a life time of drills, practicing, and studying to perform at an exemplary level far beyond that which 99% will never experience.

A pro gamer locks him/herself in a basement, leeching off of government or a parent for 4 months and emerges a “pro gamer”. It is not the same. Not even close. One takes years to hone physical prowess, the other a months time.
Thats on the pro level.

On the sub-pro level, semi pro or amature sports players don’t require others with low self esteem to support them which is what a majority of streamer audiences are.

A more accurate comparison would be, why watch an amature basketball player shoot hoops while sitting outside on a sunny day in a basketball court?
Streamers are chicken hawks and not even good ones at that.

You must be awfully peeved when you see that esports has a higher global market valuation than most traditional sports.

This entire post reeks of jealousy, but no, you do not become a pro gamer in a month. These guys have been practicing and honing their skills in this game for years.

You think it reeks of jealously because you’re not intelligent or wise enough to compare/contrast. What on earth is there to be jealous of? You’re projecting.
You have to be monumentally immature to believe something like this is worthy of jealousy in anyway, shape, or form.

Because the amateur is more engaged with his audience, involves his viewers in what he’s doing, is nicer, is more entertaining, and is more relatable because they aren’t multi-millionaires.

If you think most of these guys chasing the world first 60 aren’t getting paid to do it, you’re crazy. There are people that make millions of dollars a year to play video games.
