I had level 3 and then…gone. Poof into thin air back down to 2. Simply because I played WoW more with new patch then forum. It needs to be fixed to where you can keep level 3 trust instead of having to “maintain it”. Forums aren’t a full time job.
Oh no! Please don’t. Then I may not be able to post images anymore!
Oh wait. Nothing to worry about it seems.
I should be Trust Level 3, however one time I was given a forum vacation because I made a tongue-in-cheek thread about the Rise of Feninism which was all about me and my orcish greatness. It got removed and I was given a vacation for trolling. So now I think I’m ineligible to ever receive Trust Level 3
A thread which was both hilarious and harmless. I am sad you have fallen victim to the system.
I think I lost mine, but as long as you’re able to post videos, it’s not a big deal.
Apologies, I should actually answer you.

That will bring you to a white page with a lot of text. Use find on page (Ctrl + F) and search for Groups. Group 1 is Trust 1, Group 2 is Trust 2, and Group 3 is Trust 3. The highest group level you find will be your trust level.
For example:
Searching for “Groups”, and then reading forward from there, indicates that you have the base trust level (which is 0) and have no additional benefits beyond posting.
Alternately, you can attempt to post an image from the internet. If the image loads, you have trust level 3. If it does not, you do not. Some sites like wowhead allow links to post regardless, so images are best (and ideally from a non affiliated site, but make sure it’s relevant).

please use the preformatted text feature if you can’t post links.
Or just add a ~ in front of the link. Lazy way, works.
I am ashamed to admit that I actually can post links, but it never occurred to me to use preformatted text. D’oh.
I was more concerned with whether it would override to the default profile if it was a link. Like how some websites redirect certain links, even if you can request it specifically.
Thank you for that, I’ll update my post.
You called?
It was made by the company that created the new forum, the company called Discourse. I think its a system that comes with the package.
Im not so sure its so much about trustworthiness as much as it is something for people who spend a lot of time here. Like I said, Blizz didnt create it. They probably wanted a streamlined forum with better tools and threads that could go beyond 500 posts and things like that. For the record, its not hard to maintain TL3 for everyone, but not having it honestly isnt the end of the world.
It appears it is not permanent, possibly depending on the severity of the punishment. People have gotten punished in some form and still gotten TL3.
It’s inconsistent, some people have gotten it back, and others can’t seem to. Nobody really knows what the deciding factor is to what makes it perm and what doesn’t.
Like I said, it seems it depends on the severity, but Blizz isnt going to explain it. Theres something about a forum silence vs a forum vacation maybe, but its not conclusive.
The best advice is not to worry about it. The old forums didnt even allow for things like posting images and such and the world kept spinning. Anyone can share a link by using the right steps anyway.
I’m pretty sure if you lose it due to disciplinary actions, you have to start all over. Don’t quote me…
I haven’t actually been able to find an answer to this question.
You see, this sort of thing just feels bad. Sure you can say “don’t worry about it”, and it’s way easier to say that when you have it as you do. But you know what? Most people don’t like having things taken away from them, especially if they don’t feel like they really did something wrong. This is often less about the specific features, but the feeling of loss because something has been taken away from you that you really shouldn’t have taken away. That’s human nature at work, and saying “just don’t worry about it” is incredibly dismissive. I’ve seen plenty of people have it taken away over silly stuff, and it makes them bitter about the whole experience. Is that what Blizz actually wants? Just bitter people?
Which is fine, but if it’s permanently taken away from you, then you have no way of knowing until you bang your head against the wall forever trying to get it and it just not happening.
Thats what appeals are for. If its upheld then obviously it was something that warranted losing TL3, if thats the result. Saying “it wasnt that bad of an infraction” is just as dismissive as “dont worry about it”. Silly reasons to you may not be silly to Blizz. Ive seen a lot of people act like jerks and try to call it silly or harmless so…
I say dont worry about it because its really not an Azeroth shattering loss. Honestly, it doesnt even appear to be something one is supposed to “farm”. So this feeling of loss and feeling like its too much work baffles me.
yes. offending anyone is verboten. welcome to the age of social justice! your sense of humor will be excised once you are assimilated! resistance is futile.
I really wish I could talk about it, but it’s against the forum guidelines to talk about our own silences and I’m not willing to risk further infractions. So the best I can tell you is that I feel you’re putting a lot of faith into people that are in fact quite fallible to make these sort of judgement calls.
I am aware of the circumstances based on my own experiences as well as what I have read from others, so I am not in the dark.
Here I am, unable to get trust 3 because my account gets suspended every time I make the comment on somebodies problem being a skill issue.
That seems a git gud issue. Have you tried that?
Also I’ve read some of your post, try maybe to be more sensitive? You don’t have to be overly rude on the internet you know it’s not 2004. I’m just saying this, but feel free to do whatever you like, just don’t blame the system then.
