Renown is just one part of not being ready to play with your friends if you’re new to the expansion.
You just lost all credibility when you wrote this.
I read it, all that was stated was you were having a hissy fit crying longer than it takes to earn the renown you are so emotionally upset about.
Sounds like you’re the one who is emotionally upset and throwing a hissy fit. Go chill, it’s a game, not the only thing that anyone in the world should care about.

I didn’t say take it out, I didn’t say give it to me for free, I said change the way it works, but since you’re too busy maintaining your high and mighty dominance over the general forums instead of providing actual insightful feedback instead of shaming others in the community, here it is again for you.

but it’s not though, here are the only 100% efforts after hitting 60 (since you decided not to actually read the thread):
These activities will now have a 100% chance to reward 1 Renown upon completion:
Mythic and Mythic+ dungeons
Torghast Layers 9-16
Defeating a Shadowlands raid boss encounter
Winning a Rated Battleground
That’s not every dungeon and not every pvp experience
And I do play the game, and I want to get friends to play, but no one wants to deal with the chores like renown from scratch that haven’t hit 80 already, but you don’t seem concerned about that player base at all. All bow down to Arriniti.

Weird I guess the 2 alts I leveled in 9.1 were earning “fake” renown… I should go check to see if they were deleted or not…
You hit 80 renown easily by playing the game. It is vomited at you from every direction. If you can’t hit 80 without grinding… you do not play the game.
Sounds like your friends are making excuses to not play with you.
I feel like they should have a catchup to unlock the third soulbind instead of Renown, the quest chain to unlock 3rd soulbind is borderline torture for me.

You caught me, they actually really like everything in this game, they just unsubbed/quit because it was too much fun for them to handle.
You still can’t seem to provide a good reasoning as to why this is a bad change? You basically keep reverting back to git gud…
Sounds like they overexaggerate anything and everything into oblivion just to be upset about it.
There is nothing needed to change. 40-60 is insanely quick for all your soulbind nodes. You will earn 60-80 passively (and still very easily) after that for the empowered nodes.
On the flip side of that, a new player, will have so much renown shoved down their throat they won’t know what any of it means.

Dude, you keep using 40 as an example when not everyone gets a free 40 boost, you have to hit 80 once if you recall. Please for the love of god, hear what I am saying, not everyone is at the point that you are at in the game. Please read and think about the thread from more than just your perspective. You obviously have no issues playing pro gamer and edgy forum lord, but please try to think about the overall community for a few minutes and let your ego take a breather. If you are that upset by the concept, please provide some feedback as to why you genuinely believe it should stay, not just ‘it’s quick and vomitted at you’. Give some reasoning like ‘oh renown adds depth to the game’ and defend that, not that you’ve done it three times and that we are all privileged kids beneath your mighty stature.

You get the renown skip at 40 renown. You start at 40 and I got to 80 in a day on my alts.
“Bro” if you are a new player you get renown thrown at you for /afking in town.
Get outta here with your BS fake outrage garbage.
If you have one character who has reached Renown 80, you can have that character purchase the account-bound 
Broker Mark of Distinction from Au’Dara
The sheer amount of hyperbole and gaslighting here could fill the entire planet.
