That’s risky, to repost a moderated post. Good luck!
Well she’s a repeat offender. So harsher penalty. That’s what clowns get.
Except right now they aren’t. The bracket is awful.
100% this. I really hope Blizz cracks down on some of this stuff finally.
Considering how many resources they put to pvp so far this expansion and how absolute bad bgs have become in general on top of the all the shady stuff happening with constant declines, extremely poor mmr system and griefers/leavers/afk I would be very surprised if they even do anything to begin with.
Oh and the other thread got deleted… why I’m not surprised anymore?
It’s okay; they can try as hard as they want to silence people, but they will continue to fail.
One of my posts simply linking to the Venruki youtube video got reported as trolling and staff upheld it.
Kinda crazy, man. Not the gang reporting it, that was obviously gonna happen…the part where the staff somehow agreed.
Note: that the link to the Venruki video was cited as such and was the second in the thread with it. The first had a space in it and so I just removed it.
Trolling…yeah.
Maybe Venruki youtube videos are not allowed? He does AWC annoucing for Blizz.
Pretty crazy.
Probably considered a call-out or something equally ridiculous—whatever. It only makes them look worse, which you’d think would be nearly impossible at this point, but here we are.
I kind of wonder if a forums mod is part of the problem lol
olook, another premade farming a pug in Alterac Valley.
#compeition or something.
Nah I don’t think moderation is the problem, Celinthia. They are human. Also, I don’t think doing this job is very easy. I’d go batty having to read all our drivel every day. I imagine how much worse it is on some place like (insert whatever social media company), and it’s pretty bad here, just not as bad.
Anyway, frustrating, sure. But I don’t hink the mods are the problem.
I do think there are some deeply ingrained pvp decisions that have been present for a long time that are influencing this. Perhaps it is that, ‘hands off’ pvp thing they’ve mentioned since vanilla. If there is a pvp solution, then it is solved, type of thing. And, frankly, there is a pvp solution, even if most do not like it.
All, that said, they did say they were going to listen more, so /whoKnows.
If it didn’t involve circumventing and abusing the queue system Blizzard has in place, I would agree with this having a legitimate PvP solution.
They have said that before, but I do hope you’re right. There just seems to be a lot of not good moderation on these forums, and they only focus on things they don’t like not things that actually go against the rules.
[Edit]
Reading your messages again and I got it wrong - I thought you had created a new ‘thread’ to share the youtube link. Mods said thread (and maybe post too) removal is done after human review but suggests it’s not fault free. Did they provide any reason for removal of your post?
That would be too scary…
Well said! And I don’t understand how this is fun for the people who do it… it’s shameless
So as a avid pvper During the anniversary event the original alterac valley iteration that was spammed by alot of players was premaded alot. I could tell when running into premades as they were way too organized. Mostly leaning horde side. It was blatantly obvious. Full premades with 30-40 members and i’d have to try and solo slow at least 20 of them alliance side to even have a chance. Even with my high rankings in pvp on warlock and high end gear it was not fun and I barely stood a chance.
I have had personal experience with this elitist community from wow classic wrath and cata. We would que dodge and skip as horde just to fight mostly the other alliance premades. It 100% is easy to do if you know the mechanics. We did full 40 man premades every friday and we started doing it against random alliance pugs. Absolutely cleaning the floor with them. I eventually left after alot of drama happened. These people do not care. They are on a power trip and only blizz can truly stop them. I was one of them i’d know. But the public light on the subject is very refreshing. These premades happen all the time! 10v10, casual battlegrounds, av, wintergrasp, full 40 mans. I’ve all been a part of this before. Even 40 man tol barads vs 80 alliance we’ve won (no tenacity). I’ve even done premades on retail. Hell even solo battleground blitz alot of times is premade
Unfortunately these elitist zergers poach members and pvpers. So most of the good pvpers get taken to these communities. With little to no option. They think they have to join to get good ratings or gear.
Glad to see this post back up. Hopefully we will get a blue post on this issue. To be clear communities aren’t going anywhere this game was designed to be MASSIVE ONLINE MULTI PLAYER GAMING. The simple solution to this problem is bringing BACK raid ques for EPIC BGS. That solves half the problem immediately. We had Korraks during the 20th anniversary event. The coding is already there its simply the flip of a switch.
No, catering to the people exploiting Blizzard’s current system isn’t the ‘simple’ solution. Reintroducing raid queues for epic battlegrounds would only legitimize their behavior and exacerbate the problem instead of addressing it.
I’m not sorry to remind you that nothing the communities do breaks any Blizzard TOS. The addons used by some not all communities do nothing to hide or exploit ques in any way shape or form. Add back in raid ques and put a deserter debuff for dropping ques just like in mythics. Boom. Problem solved.
the addons used by some not all communities
Why the distinction?
