because dungeons and raids are wow. its the heart and soul of what wow is. the pets and mounts etc… are the bonus rewards for doing such activities. if people want some sort of rp housing then roblox bloxburg and sims is over there —>
dont get me wrong please. i am all for player housing as long as we dont lose regular content over it and as long as nothing achievement / pet / mount etc… wise is tied into it. then the few people that wanna play house can. np.
I think this is the problem though a lot of people are fearing this when its the opposite, it would give more content, even outside of the realm of housing.
Yeah and thats totally fine, my point is, they dont want to, but there are a LOT of people telling them. “We dont care, we pay the bills for you guys, please add it.”
Yeah, the fact that you pay the bills means nothing. There’s been posts about it for years, we still don’t have it, here we are. Look at it from a logical standpoint, it’s probably not worth it for blizzard. Doesn’t need to be deeper than that, it is what it is.
Im not sure why you would even say this? considering if the customer is the one keeping them going, and the customer is not getting what they want and leave, its a pretty big deal lol.
i mean c’mon. in all seriousness with no fluff. garrisons were basically player housing. the only thing i see people complaining about is that they could not hang their own pictures, place their own rugs, choose their only tables and chairs and so on.
you really want me to believe that, that is what will hold player retention. give me a break. garrisons was blizzards way of testing the waters. garrisons had everything. and i mean everything. and it alienated the player base so bad that it was a failure.
placing curtains and rolling out a color of your choice mat will not save wow. believe me.
I don’t really want to play mental gymnastics tbh. I don’t care, it’s been requested for years bro, we still don’t have it, they’ve said it would take a lot of work. Do with that what you must.
I dont deny they were an attempt at player housing. But they were a poor attempt if we agreeing they were player housing then i think we can agree it was a poor attempt at it.
Which i mean is a big part of player housing.
It does very very well for FF14 and for teso, hell the entierty of epsilon private servers are built around the fact that they let you build your own towns, cities, and homes.
again counter point to this, Blizzard, post garrisons, did the same thing. You get a bronto, yakk, and a couple of toys, you never need to go into a city ever. So this idea that "Garrisons killed interactions with people and was bad. " is a pretty bad argument when you consider blizzard only gave players MORE ability to not be around other players.
No one here is, or has suggested it will SAVE wow. The most people are saying myself specifically is it would add a very much needed and large amount of evergreen content to the game.
