Well shes is right though, classic wow is a great example of how outta touch blizzard was and most likely still is with its player base.
Blizzards stance was always “Players dont actually want classic” and then it turned out Oh players actually really wanted classic and it was a huge success.
The same can, and probably is true, for housing.

It’s not the same thing, we have classic wow after a decade, and we don’t have player housing.
They also said “the players don’t want it”
they straight up said it would take a lot of overhauling for the housing stuff. Not that players didn’t want it.
Update, 3 days after your death Ion announces that player housing will be in next xpac.

It has nothing to do with the playerbase because if it was, again, we would have housing as they have acknowledged the fact that it is highly requested.

Again, your idea kinda falls apart when you consider blizzard regularly ignores its player base for the better.
They also said the same about classic and classic is basically run by a skeleton crew of devs and we still got it.
Since when did Garrisons fail, i thought everyone liked them and the issue i thought, was that no one wanted to leave thier garrison.

The issue with garrisons was they were pretty much forced onto people. Specific story beats required you to do garrison activates and mission tables which resulted in you sending out parties and then waiting for like 3 days for them to come back.
Most complaints about the garrisons were summed up as “Why am i being forced to do this.” same thing with thorgast “Why are you forcing me to do this.”

You must be joking. Do you even know how popular Wildstar housing was? How popular housing in other games are?
Maybe speak for yourself and not for others. Just because YOU aren’t interested doesn’t mean other people- including Mythic+ etc players- aren’t.
