Blizz loves their layer technology so much, why not just phase boosters to their own layer… so they can play with bots and other casual tourists that are cool trying high level content with 0 commitment to their char or knowledge of their abilities. If they want to play with friends or whatever then their friends can just autophase to the booster layer when invited to a group.
AH would still be exploited… but at least for the most part the types of people that want credit card shortcuts can be out of sight/ out of mind. Plus for the innocent player that just really wanted to play in TBC and take it seriously… do you really want their user experience to be getting ganked by players with 30 days or more at 60 logged their first step into hellfire?
I think it’s the best choice for the experience of the booster and the experience of the no changes player base. I mean the #1 option would be to remove the boost imo, but I don’t see that happening.
I know this comes off as a troll post, but I’m serious about the layer idea. Maybe they can join the base layer after some time.

Honestly, I’d love a solo phase for questing unless I opt into a group. It’d be quite nice to have the ability to quest without a ridiculous amount of competition, and being able to farm mats would be nice.
What a weird suggestion.

Dumb idea, I will be using my 1 boost for a hunter which I know quite well how to play. I will also be playing on a pve server so there goes your idea of lvl 60’s ganking me. Also my firends they refused to play classic with me, due the hatred of the leveling experience, are very excited for the boost as TBC is their favorite expansion. Two of which started playing with me in 2006 and have never stopped their sub so I am pretty sure they also have a very clear understanding of the classes.
Also me boosting to 58 with 0 professions does not ruin your TBC experience. The only thing this does is make the anti-boosters jealous of the fact a lot of players didn’t waste days leveling to 58.

What are your friends going to do if they realize they don’t like the class they picked?
Create a new account and just buy another boost?

One you can’t buy but one boost per account so they only play on one account, unless they hop on their wive’s account.
They have been playing a long time and have a max level toon of every class so they know all the classes. They also want to have the memory of what they played in TBC. One played a warlock and the other played a hunter, which is what they main in retail to this day. So that is what they will be boosting.

for some reason classic posters cannot seem to understand that people didn’t all quit with the release of cata, and that a lot of us have toons that are old as crap that we still play in retail to this day. i understand that the private server scene wiped itself and their classic toon is probably the “oldest” toon they’ve had since they quit retail… but… retail has existed for nearly 2 decades. and it’s not like it deletes any toon that’s over 5 years old. strange to me.

Maybe blizzard should keep track of people like you, and keep forcing you to the back of the queue on launch day. Keep the cancer players out of the game so everyone else can enjoy it.

Or just make a “Booster only” server that you can only make characters that are boosted, and the only server where boost are available lol

They’d have to make 47487475 of them and the “regular” servers would be dead. Brilliant idea!

How would boosting change YOUR experience, you aren’t boosting, bots are already in the game in large numbers… you’ve yet to give any validity to your post. You have nothing backing it up on how boosters would ruin the game.

Yeah what other people do shouldnt have any effect on the game for me at all. Not like it’s an MMO.
You’re missing the point… how does someone boosting their character change how you play the game? How does it change what you do? How does it change your character…

It really does, because why? Why do this? What is your goal? Is your hate for others not like you so great that you want to segregate people in this way?
Are others not worthy to play alongside the all and mighty Sadgodx (omg, that is the name you chose for yourself? rofl)
Seriously though. This is a troll post.

News flash bro the game is not about you because it’s an MMO. Its about everyone! You are acting like you are being cheated because of boosts. Did you not level and play Classic because that is what you wanted? But since some players didnt want to play Classic and want to play TBC. They are supposed to grind through Classic, which they will when they roll an alt. You are complaining about boosts. Yet you are doing it from a DK which was boosted when it was introduced and on a retail toon that has all the boosts in the world. “Pot calling the kettle black”

Can we phase you out of the forums?

No matter what he could say you’ll be stuck on your idea that boost is good because you probably didn’t invested as much time as he did in Classic.
All the good arguments are in the MadSeason video. Ofc “pro boost” won’t watch this 1h video because no matter what : they want the boost.
Because, you know, the game must adapt theirs needs, they won’t adapt to the game. Retail used them to this for years now, it’s hard to come back to something more “oldschool” or “Classic”.
If you like leveling, the boost will affect your experience because you’ll clearly be alone. Mage boosting already affect it badly but still require to get a 60 with golds first. It’s bad too but a bit less worse.
Still require to level up a character to 55. Which is different than a boost.
1-58 content is still part of TBC.
Else, why Blizzard did some update on this content in 2.3 ?

This forum is infested with trolls. It makes sense with the game not even being out yet. Bit sad tho.
They definitely would not be dead because the majority of players would prefer a regular server haha
