Your (Blizzards) reasoning for not introducing for dye when we asked for it in vanilla was the artist put a lot of work into designing the armor so you didn’t want to take that away from them.

When I see someone in a revealing transmog, I compliment them with “Like your mog” or “nice sexymog.” I like having the flexibility and it will render the Famous Polish nearly obsolete.

No there isn’t that’s completely a lie. If a swimsuit is acceptable then no reason a bra and panties shouldn’t be… seriously what’s wrong with you? Where do you come up with these crazy notions? X rated game? Are you kidding me? Bra and Panties make it X rated? Holy crap idk how many PG13 (movie equivalent of T rating) movies I saw as a kid and teen that had bra and panties in them…
This is something players can already do. The difference is doing it viably in combat or not having to wait 20 minutes for a toy to finish it’s cooldown. Running around in bra and panties are perfectly acceptable imho. Not befitting of anything more then the T rating the game already has.
I say all of this as a woman. I don’t feel confident to dress sexy irl, so I like to do skimpmogs in WoW and other games. I find them empowering. You don’t have to agree, you don’t have to do them. But stop trying to censor and control others.
Not even going to get into how problematic the censorship of women’s breasts are compared to men when the only functional difference is amount of adipose tissue. (Men’s can even produce milk under the right circumstance). And yet despite it being the fat tissue that’s the difference the thing we most censor about women’s breasts are the nipple, while showing men’s breasts is totally fine. It’s hypocritical. But as I said, it’s not something I’m pushing for in video games. (I do push for this equality irl, and hope once irl get’s it video games will figure it out as well).
Trying to censor women is just as oppressive as forcing women into skimpiness. I do agree that armor sets that are skimpy on women should be on men as well. As I am a strong proponent of equality. You find it sexualizing. But I don’t see a bra and panties as being innately sexual, especially not any differently then bathing suite… seriously average bra and panties aren’t even exceptionally sexy. People can get off to anything though. I know folks who get off to feet… but you aren’t suggesting we permahide characters feet in WoW because they’re being used to get off? The body is natural and the only person I see sexualising it here is you. I see fully naked folks and it’s not innately sexual. I see children in underwear and that most certainly is not sexual. It feels like you’re having some significant internal dissonance here and it’s reflecting outward in a negative light.
Telling a woman she can’t be in bra and panties is the opposite of what feminism has fought for. As for men playing female characters. Look like you said it’s no different from a barbie doll. There is no actual genitals, or even nipples. Boys can play with barbies all they want. They can dress them up in many layers, or as many do make them completely naked. Or keep them in underwear. The point is that doesn’t really matter. It’s their barbie to play with. Player Avatars are representations of ourselves in the video game world and aren’t people. So you can literally objectify them. Yes I see how degrading the image of a woman is problematic but I really don’t think that’s happening as much as you think it is. Liking their toons aesthetically skimpy isn’t the same as thinking of women as nothing more then sex objects.
You’re also wrong. People try to say violence in video games, or sexual themes in video games will promote that in the real world. But actual studies show that it can provide a release that can actually prevent them doing something violent. Notable in priests who get in trouble for doing unmentionable things to children. They aren’t even able to “Self please”. Which causes build up of these latent desires which then result in children being harmed. I’m not excusing them, but the situation doesn’t help matters. Regardless there is no evidence that it makes non violent people violent. Being able to be skimpy in WoW is not going to make a lick of difference in sexual predators. It’s not like there isn’t better media that stimulates these fantasies 1,000 times better then a PC wearing bra and panties on WoW would…
However you’re probably one of those folks stuck in second wave feminism (Because the 90s never happened amiright?). Probably consider Adult Videos to be evil as well. (Despite the modern Adult Video industry being majority owned and operated by former stars). If that’s the case then you’re there likely is not any reasoning with you. All I can do is wish you find enlightenment. But I do not hold my breathe. Blizzard will not miss you.

You do realise this game is about magic and dragons right? Transmog is canon… We’re putting illusions on our armor. We’re still wearing the same armor we always were. The only difference is that we’re changing it’s look. In this game you’re still wearing your full plate, but you look like your in a bra in panties. #themoreyouknow.

I am a guy both in game and out. Near the end of MoP, I asked 'What would it take to created the skimpiest mog for gents?" You are now looking at the result on this char as of this writing.

It’s 95% of the way there if you can hide everything else anyway.

Those last 5% make a world of difference though.
Another option is to run around without the leg slots while everything is invisible. Most outdoor content out of War Mode can be done with some stat slots missing.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a technical limit that they aren’t discussing. A lot of the “Weird” things they end up doing is a technical limitation.
Maybe they just don’t want people running around fully naked.
Will hide chest allow me to wear a shirt without also having to wear some stupid straps over it? Because that’s all I want.

Oh yeah duh… underwear is fine… but I don’t expect genital exposure… that’d make this game M. Idk if it’d kill it but it’d bleed sub numbers. And it might draw in some more (potentially unsavory) types.
i’ve made a post about it but i will talk here too, ok here my idea, how about make all the robes/vests/dress be like BE heritage armor and have a option without the skirt where you can actually see the “pants”???, really many armors, specially cloths make have a “pant” almost pointless in the sense of display it only servers to give stats booster but you can’t get anything visually speaking since all the robes are the torse combined with the bottom, could be cool to add to all full body type or armors a secondary option without the long skirt, this could also help for peoples wanting to display tatoos, since many, really many robes does have a very “revealing chest” making easy to display the tatoos in the torso and without the "skirt it can help display tatoos on legs too and also can help in improve customization, cuz you can find really many good pants like armor which a strong potential or customization with varios “chest” from many robe like armors but it ending being wasted due to the “long skirt”, even many of that armors don’t make sense to be a full body when you have a separated chest from the lower part which could work perfect without it.
if not add a secondary option of the cloth them add a option to turn off the “long skirt” of the robe" if possible.
this could help really a lot many customizations.
