Thats why official HC is coming, all the matter’s is that we have actual HC servers. Everything else you can literally do yourself.
Let me reiterate, I want Hardcore official servers but I dont want the player base to be split between SSF or not with two differant servers, SSF is a personal challenge.
I agree it is motivating that we are getting official permadeath servers!
I believe though that the sentiment of “Everything else you can literally do yourself” is besides the point, evident by exactly us getting official servers in the first place
Why does this bother you so much. Do people playing SSF invalidate your preferred mode of everything goes?
The community is already divided, cramming them all together is not going to change that.
I see, I think it’s bizarre to deny what seems to be a visible amount of players in this specific permadeath community their ideal server, based on assumptions that it will split the community
It seems that it bother’s you actually, the fact that you need a specific SSF server to validate your preferred play style to the point of wanting to split the community.
Except it would because the SSF rules change at 60. So at 60 you could have even more of a player base once the SSF stipulations drop. Or we could split the player base and potentially end up with 2 dead servers.
Would be a pretty big slap in the face to players that want standalone tbc servers not to get a server but for there to be a server dedicated to playing HC in a specific way that would already be perfectly accommodated by just making it a buff
(Just for clarification, i wouldn’t play a tbc server, but i think they deserve their own server before SSF gets one)
Grouping, multiple dungeons, mailing, trading, deaths. They can all be cheated. The addon is fun, but it has no way of monitoring.
Guess all one can hope for is people being honest.
Just like now. Your server changes very little.
No one knows what the future will bring for sure.
I would imagine that on a SSF server, there wouldn’t even be (edit typo lol) trading at 60.
why?
If there is interest there is interest?
Make a forum post about wanting TBC and make people comment and like!
Ah yes because clearly that’s working so well rn.
And so I ask again is Ironman or SSF not a personal challenge? Do you need recognition for it? Can you not just SSF your character while playing on the official HC server’s where Grouping, multiple dungeons, mailing, trading are all part of the game like they have been since 2012 ? Do you understand that a lot of people just want to play the MMO they love but with a spice of hardcore ? Should they be forced to SSF because a small minority of the community want’s to do that?
There is no need for recognition.
There is a want for a server.
But why the need for it not to be a server?
Weird, sounds like the same thing to me but that’s just my 2 cents glgg to you all.
No one is forcing anyone, you can still play regular permadeath and regular era.
But by not releasing SSF you effectively “force” people that want a SSF server to play something else.
See?
I then argue that there is a possibility for a SSF to be very successful, which we would never see if we don’t release it
You dont need a dedicated server to play SSF
How are you not understanding this?
You don’t need a server to play a simple death = delete. The existing have all the rules you want in place already.
Except death = delete can be cheated by simply not deleting the character
Yep that’s pretty much my point, if I want to SSF i’ll just do it. I dont need a specific server filled with SSF people i’ll never play with to pat me on the back lol. Its all g though I just want to see the HC community thrive.
What I argue is that a SSF server could potentially be having a having very unique server dynamic and community which could turn out to be very popular and stable in the long term. Given that we see a chunk of permadeath enjoyers wanting this, I think it’s wise to release the 2 choices
