I’m still waiting for something specific. People are just so used to saying it that I wonder if they still mean it.

Cata still had talent trees, introduced transmogging, two fun raid tiers (tier 11 and 12) and Tol Barad, Molten Front and Twilight Highlands was good content for the solo player.

I still miss Artifact Weapons… I wish they had continued them into BfA and Shadowlands. They were one of the best things in Legion.

Yeah. I wish they continued them without them being actual weapons. Just another tab on the talent UI. And we had access to them at level 10. And it didn’t need AP to unlock traits, just leveling up.

They complete removed combat and turned it into outlaw, went from a very predictable damage model to the most RNG model in the game and we still haven’t recovered from that

Slice and Dice is back - Roll the Bones is a 45 second cooldown. We’ve recovered.

Deleted ranged survival, replaced it and has to rework it and left it broken for 2 xpacs, I love melee hunters personally but what they did was dumb still

Could you really tell me there was a major difference in terms of theme between Survival and Marksman before? Or was it - one was just the better ranged spec?

Unholy used to be a nice consistent damage monster class, they then turned it into a pet class where all it’s damage is loaded into a long CD and a smaller one that does the exact same thing, which is half as bad as what they did to frost because you needed to play BoS and have the same thing happen or just suck

They’ve been tinkering with DK since Wrath of the Lich King - it used to be better when you could TANK or DPS regardless of your spec choice. Then they made Blood the Tank Spec - and the other 2 the DPS spec. Unholy makes the most sense to be the pet spec.

They used something that worked - and people like Demon Hunters.

They also decided it would be a grand idea to give them a weapon to use that no one else can that still plagues our drop tables

Hunters are the only ones who can use - bows, guns, or crossbows in combat. They’ve existed since Vanilla - how come you aren’t complaining about Hunters existing? Also - since its personal loot - it doesn’t plague your drop table if you don’t bring that class.

Now we start playing the game, what’s happened?
A faction leader got killed off screen by a trash mob, the player does a small quest that we breeze through with no difficulty at all to pick up a super weapon and become the chosen one
You then arrive at either a reused sewer or damn giant temple where everyone else was also apparently the chosen one and now has the same weapon you do

SWTOR did the same thing - and it was praised for its story.

The first raid tier has dropped, the good news is you’ve become the elite of players and acquired a legendary - either a stat stick useless neck or an item that means you can play your spec and not get benched
Where did you get that legendary? Oh you see all I did was crack some nuts at a quest hub and found it in a box

Legendaries were a pain - but when you got them they were awesome - kind of like legendaries now.

Pretty good, everyone has a million health and at least 1 ability that explodes a HP bar, we are all decked out in legendaries because blizzard decided to make them participation trophies, whilst running around with trinkets that titanforged. That guy over there with 100 kills in PvP? His honour level is 499 because he did all the world quests every day.

No one got honor level 499 solely from doing only WQs.

I actually agree with OP… It was one of my favorite expansions from a story perspective and I loved some aspects of it like legendaries and class halls. But Legion is what started the systems we have now… Everything WoW is right now is because of Legion and its success.

I will never defend legion.

Legion is the template for BFA and systemlands and it has set some bad precedents that current retail team clings onto.

Legion did have a better reward structure than BFA and systemlands but beyond that Legion isn’t any better than BFA or systemlands.

I look fondly upon the story because I killed illidan in BC when I was really into raiding. It did make my look back and think “oops”

On my list BfA would be in last place but Shadowlands is heading towards taking that title. I’ve never lost interest in ANY expansion as fast as Shadowlands.
