Leeway here to stay

After careful study and testing, we’ve found that for players with low latency, the state of melee leeway is how they would have experienced the game in 2006.

You do realise that the original post in this thread, is Blizzard saying that its working like it did back then right? So saying it didn’t work that way is claiming that Blizzard is lying.

The burden of proof is on you to prove they’re lying, not me for reposting their statement.

Layering-temporary
Leeway-permanent

Up your game senpai. Not like I like layering anyway.

So, when I said that Blizzard has said its working as intended, and they’re not lying, but somehow I have to prove they’re not lying, even though you said they’re not lying?

I have successfully proved that Blizzard said it worked that way, by posting the original link. I have proven my claim.

Satisfied?

Blizzard has clearly stated the game will play the same for people who had decent internet during vanilla’s original run.

The rest of us will have to acclimate.

How it WORKED and how it PLAYED are not the same TODAY as it was in 2004 Because the technology has changed… this will CHANGE the way the game will play in 2019 vs the way it played in 2004…

The game will play the same as it always did.
Just because we don’t have 2 FPS going into IF is this some sort of pandering to people who had top end machines at the time?

No, it’s just how the game was, and people’s personal hardware/internet affected it.

Show me videos of people with decent internet in 2004 getting 11yd wing clips.

You’re arguing against Blizzard.

I was simply reposting what they’ve told us. Are you saying they’re lying?

You keep making this claim without providing any evidence to back it up…

I don’t know why you directly replied to me with this. It seems we are in agreement.

C’thun is way overtuned, you need to fix him
Devs fix him
Leeway is way overtuned due to people having better internet 15 years later

So you are saying Blizzard is lying…

About the fact that leeway is working as it was back then… to combat lag, no.

About the mount of people with lag being MORE today than it was back then… yes factually incorrect…

Blizzard never said people have more lag today than they did back then. They said less people have lag today than back then.

You’re either making strawmans for your mock battle, or failing to comprehend their statements.

There are more people with low latency now than there were in 2006, so we expect for some it might feel different, but it is working as expected.

Low latency = Less Lag.

Yes I miss read that.

That still is not the main point of my contention. Leeway WILL change the way the game is played BECAUSE of better technology

In 2004 About 20% of people had Broadband… it was capped at 1MBps
in 2019 About 85% of people have Broadband… Standard low is 10MBps

So you think a 325% increase of users using (at the lowest) 10 magnitude times faster internet is going to recreate the “museum” play of Vanilla?

Only for people who had poor internet in 2006.

Most people had poor internet connections… considering the fact that MORE people still had Dial up than had high speed DSL…

You have no proof of this.

Yes, finally everyone can play WoW like they live in LA.
