Actually with dinars and upgrades I have more incentive than ever to raid.
If people only raid for loot, isn’t THAT the problem?
Another thing people are completely forgetting is that this is the only season we likely ever see no valor cap. No one made such a fuss about this before there wasn’t a valor cap.
Because Ion said they’re never changing that because it’s meant to be run as a guild and not pugged, so we might as well ask for something they might actually do.
I don’t foresee them unleashing valor upgrades to be mythic Ilvl for M+. If anything I do see them adding current 311 as a vault reward for doing 25’s or something.
Yeah. So many open world zones in this game, are just wasted, and useless outside of just quest leveling. It’s why I wish they would build off things like invasions, and assaults, or Darkspear revolution type stuff. No wonder people call retail instancecraft lol. Because there is very little world in it anymore lol.
I’m all for fair loot systems. I’m not for making a superior one worse though, which is what many here want for some reason. Loot is enough of a slog as it is. I’ve already done some spamming of mechagon to little success on the rings.
I’ve traded away a bunch of Mechagon rings; I have little use for them since they’re haste-heavy and/or unusable for tanks. (if you attack from behind… yeah okay…)
(The Great Vault offered me a 304 ring on Tuesday that was the “if you heal a target below 50% health…”. In my Brewmaster loot spec.)

What’s odd about the attack behind ring mechanic is one of our tanks is BDK and it procs for him alllll the time. Keg smash might have a similar effect as blood boil? Idk.
Definitely a step in the right direction there. But it was also stated this isn’t going to be something to start off a season again, at least at this time.
With this logic, shouldn’t we go back to challenge modes? Obviously it is part for both.
I don’t think it is the valor cap that is the issue, but I agree with the fundamental of your point of easy quick gear. The thing is, eventually M+ becomes this at some point in the season.
Actually this touches on a point I’ve had bouncing around for awhile about bringing JP back. M+ 2-15 gives JP, 16+ valor, and valor is used for upgrades beyond a certain ilvl and has some sort of limit while JP does not.
Using current Ilvl on gear, what Ilvl drops in a M15, 262? Then valor upgrades it as you farm it? What Ilvl does valor upgrades cutoff at? Same with justice, what Ilvl does that upgrade to?
Do higher dungeons reward more valor and justice as they scale?
Maybe idk I didn’t have any time to play mop or legion and missed out on that sweet FOMO mog. Salt aside, yeah idk how the challenge mode system worked
