Leave m+ alone

If I have to enter a raid to get X/Y/Z item to do higher end M+ then I am inherently being forced to raid.

I do not want this situation to come to pass at all ever.

Even if raiding gave more and better gear, M+ would still be the place to go to gear up for raiding, just because it’s infinitely repeatable.

As ventorath explained in post 90.

The disparity in lockouts is the elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about.

There is no issue with m+ and mythic raiding. Raids gear faster.

Wrong about what? You seem to think I’m advocating for something when I just pointed out that saying M+ and Heroic Raiding are comps isn’t out of bounds.

Do you not think finishing a 15 key is currently on par with the difficulty of killing a Heroic Raid Boss?

I’m saying they aren’t intended to be. Either you make m+ harder, or nurf the hell out of raiding to make it work.

Get rid of raid lockouts. Its an old outdated timegating mechanic that has no place in the current day and time.

Old raids don’t need to be locked, people do them to get transmogs. Mythic+ can be done infinitely to gear up while doing raids you can’t. Stop nerfing other modes to bring them in line, try BUFFING other modes by removing restrictions instead and see how it works.

Edit: too many insteads

I agree. I can see very little reason for having lockouts on heroic and under raids, when mythic raiding exists with said lockouts.

Are you trying to suggest it’s impossible to gear faster mythic raiding than the maximum gear rate of M+'s one 304 gear piece a week?

2 boss kills give you parity in the vault. Anything that happens to drop is an increase in gearing speed.

That’s a nice argument Senator, got a source to back it up?

Raid gearing is only faster if you get repeated drops as an individual, Or funnelled drops if you happen to already have a team kitted out.

Lol game is really going down the hole … didnt think it can get any worst

What is this

Maximum basically got at this question actually.

Here’s Ions stance if I remember correctly from the interview that you can go watch yourself:

raid has the lockouts it does because it’s supposed to be done with a guild.

M+ Doesn’t have lockouts because it’s a much shorter experience where they don’t want to de-incentivize people from running them and basically the game would die without it between raid nights.

You get one great vault 304 for 2 boss kills per week.
You get one great vault 304 for a +15 completion per week.

M+ cannot gear 304’s faster.
If anything drops in the mythic raid, you gear faster. PERIOD.
And than you have 311’s as a sweetener.

It’s their sign off/signature.

Except at this point they are eclipsing the reward from raid nights and people are deincentivzed that way. :dracthyr_shrug:

Those people belong in mythic raids, not heroic.

It’s weird and gross

They’re buffing high end M+ by the sounds of it, and rightly so.

Easy: No lockouts on raid aside from mythic raid. Bosses drop valor and you can upgrade to current 298 if you full clear heroic for example. There will be a valor cap back with normal seasons anyways so the valor upgrades won’t be an arms race. Mythic plus players and raiders get to rejoice and they can scale 15’s harder so the only people doing them would be at the level of mythic raid too (20’s currently btw, according to multiple every tier CE players I know, to them is enough skill to get CE, let alone base mythic Ilvl loot.)

Players who do both content will reign supreme on loot, but doing double or more of the content and being rewarded for that is good design by rewarding people who do more than raid log.
