OK, well, if they’re getting all the shiny things that other new races got, then why is this one somehow lazy?
You guys do have Blood Elves, basically.
But, I don’t really care about the faction stuff. I still remember when the Alliance were handed Dark Ranger options on two of their races and the Horde only got one.
They aren’t getting it all. They can’t use transmog in combat, they can’t be other classes, they can’t tank, they can’t mount in their normal form. What exactly did they get that other races do? Oh yeah a new starting area, and unique racials.
They can, just not on all of their body parts. Demon Hunters can’t use transmogs on ANY of their body parts.
They… are the mount.
I’m actually all for critiquing the Drachthyr. I feel like they do have some issues. But, I don’t think Blizzards attempt was lazy, OP is wrong about that.
As for cool things, it might not make sense, but Tauren and Gnome should be options. Also, the dragon form needs a rework.
Why can’t Blizzard let people fulfill their fantasy of being a little Gnome, being filled with rage, and then transforming into a big dragon raining down fire on everyone?!
I’m not sure you know what transmog means? DH can mod every single item slot just fine (I know I do it ) Drathyr’s combat form will be boomkin 2.0 here is your weapon to look how you want plus you supply of barber shop options.
They are not the mount, they can use the basic version of the new Dragon Gliding or what ever it is called. They will still need a dragon mount for most of the expansion and will still need a normal mount to fly outside of the isles.
That’s the comparison. I didn’t make it, but more effort was put into the dragon form, even if we don’t care for it. This is a fact.
Read the comment above.
We’re comparing two race/class combos that have a secondary form. One can customize that second form and the other can not. DH’s have NO options, while Dracthyr have many options.
