First of all, if you believe this, second of all, they’re vague about how long it will be around, so “long enough to matter” may be just that. You don’t have a timeline for phase 1, nor do you know if layering will actually impact people throughout phase 1 negatively or not. I guess your “tiny monkey brain” sees the number 1 and correlates that with brief?
Lol, you really don’t think there will be at least forty level 60s by the end of phase one? Okay bud, how much would you like to bet me?
If you think there won’t be issues with people connecting to the correct layer with multiple group invites, swaps, or whatever, you’re delusional. It’s already happened on the beta.
Getting large groups of players, guilds our friends or whatever, together and to the same layer will be a challenge.
I’m mostly indifferent to the layering ‘issue’ - presumably like most people. There is a vocal minority speaking vehemently against it, and I completely understand their rationale for doing so. In the end, I don’t care much either way. In a perfect world, the layering tech wouldn’t be necessary, but it’s such a messy situation with lots of pros and cons for every possibly solution. I’m not sure that there is a single best answer. As the OP mentioned, this will hopefully be a very short-term problem and solution. Even if they launch more fresh servers down the road, I don’t think we’ll see the same influx of players as we will in August 2019.
You seriously want crashing servers, and hour long ques before you can play the game you’ve been waiting for? No. you along with everyone else want to play on day one.
Scare-mongering
Queue times are real man. Blizz is playing it safe. If they need to add more servers when they stop layering the hardest part will be coming up with a name for it. If servers are dying though taking them down and compressing the population into less servers will be a much harder task
So for all of you who hate layering (I hate it too, but I understand the reasons that Blizzard want to use it and accept it), this suggestion right here…that’s exactly what layering is and will be, the only difference is that you can somewhat interact with the other servers in the “cluster” so to speak. oh and if your friend who accidentally rolled on the wrong numbered “server” or couldn’t roll on your “server” because it was already full, you still can group and play with that person by moving to their “server”
You prefer alt hopper? Doesn’t roll off the tongue quite like alt brigade. Oh so the Minute Men brigades had malicious intent? Here I thought they were just trying to defend there homeland and their people. Brigands have malicious intent. Aka highway men. Highway robbers.
A brigade is a group of similar minded people banded together for a common cause. Not quite the size of a platoon.
Ofc I signed it. I was playing on Nost when blizz shut her down.
I wouldn’t say completely awful but they sure could do a thing or too to clean them up. One such thing would be account wide forum rep and stats. So people wouldn’t hide so easily behind these low post count alts.
Another would be one forum name across all these toons. 50 individual avatars per user is ridiculous. When classic launches we will have 100. So it will get worse.
I said nothing about my post count. I did elude to the fact that low post counts are usually just folks changing avatars to appear as a different avatar. If you felt flexed on because of that…well…yea. That’s your issue.
Never better. Thanks for asking. How you doing?
Like I said. You speak as though you’ve been here yet that avatar has a low post count. So you’re alt hopping.
Nope U just don’t have anny argument, using words like “exploit heavily” Just go play on a pve server if u think you’re going to avoid all possible pvp anyways.
