Someone tell me the addon already!
Everyone who knows the AH and how Classic would work kind of expected that the tone for the realm economies would be set in phase 1. The devs didnāt seem to pay attention or care much.
Itās like the WoD gold manufacturing process except this will not be equally available to everyone - just the fast levelers and those who know how to move between layers.
Going to be interesting to see if it plays out as expected, especially on high/full pop realms.

Even a 10 minute cooldown after your first jump would alleviate the issue tremendously.
This is a real hard one.
On one hand, I take them at their word - if Layering wasnāt a thing, weād probably have 50 people all vying for 1 spawn pointā¦ per faction. On a PvE server, it would basically make questing pointless. On a PvP server, it would be nonstop insanityā¦ which might be fun at first, but if each time you logged in to level, spent 4 hours playing, and wound up 5% closer to your next level as a resultā¦ that would get very old, very fast.
On the other hand, crap like this breaks everything and makes playing on Classic pointless - if the economy breaks because of technology/glitches that didnāt exist in Classic, weāre all just wasting our time.
I donāt envy Blizzard on this one.
Blizzard not fixing this is the stupidest thing I have ever seen them do. It is ruining the fking game and I am sick of it. One of the best things about vanilla was that you had to work towards your goals, but now because of this blsht people just cheese it and ruin that for everyone.
Blizzard, remove it or classic will fail. But let me guess, that is what you want because āyou think you do but you donātā will be your excuse.

Its quite simple, sorry guys I cant run that dungeon yet, or quest with you, or help you with that ganker, im layer capped. Sure a bit of an edge case, but it could easily turn into a horrible player experience. I play on Herod a huge server, I don;t see anyone rocking out epic mounts, our AH is just fine. This is all fear mongering with no evidence to back up anything other than its believable though riteā¦
Donāt get me wrong I hate layering, but iāll take it over dead servers or server mergers down the road.Its a temporary problem that will go away and any economy issues will just balance themselves out in the end.
Canāt say Iām surprised. Itās a system thatās very easy to abuse.
Youāre level 29 worried about black lotus and arcane crystals.
Iām level 28 about to head out to farm my mining up to 125 so I can start gathering iron ore which will hopefully help alot more towards affording my mount at 40.
One of us is sensibly enjoying the game, and one of us is acting like Quentin Tarantinoās character in Little Nicky. Iāll let the other forum goers be the judge of which is which.

Yeah because the ability to farm all of the reagents needed for ALL PHASES in a single phase isnāt a problem. Enjoy selling Arcane Crystals for SILVER instead of 50 gold because someone exploited the layering system. /s

This Layering abuse has single handidly made me now look at end game Classic as pointless. At this point already the economies of the servers are destroyed. What really gets me is Blizzards silence on it, their inaction.
The majority of players are just leveling along enjoying the game and we have to see this group of players who abused layering already at 60 and now stocking up the most rare materials.
As with the raid XP bug where Blizzard allowed a small group to abuse this, a known exploit from the Beta, in this case again they are allowing a small group to abuse this exploit and before the majority are at the point of being able to will remove this layering exploit as well.
The childish and immature posts on this from those exploiting youāre just shooting your future self in the foot. This has to be turned off today.
Just put anyone over level 40 in the same layer, problem solved.

Yup. Enjoy your retail brain. Never had to earn something in your life and now you get handouts in Classic. Talk about ruining the entire game for everyone. Exploiters should be perma-banned.

I quit BfA like 2 months in and havenāt played the game steady since MoP, but Iām sorry my forum post ruined the game for you. Maybe with the extra free time you have now that the game is ruined you can figure out why you take everything so personally.

Today on Westfall, the server was plagued with goldsellers inviting people to channels.
its 2005 all over again, last thing we needs is a bunch of dead people at the entrance of the main cities making Adās for chinese exploit websites.
Vendor prices? Or your broken Private Server flooded with gold sellers price?

The worst thing is weāve known since BETA that layering is bad and NOTHING was done to address it.
I actually read through this entire thread, and I still have seen not a single piece of proof that the main topic is true nor have I seen the name of the mysterious add-on that supposably enables this.
