Lay The High Elf Movement To Rest

Man, even after being shown again that High Elves won’t happen, they still keep on like roaches.

Just take the L and move on, it’s pathetic.

Um… Valeera is quite a Blood Elf.

alliance high elves do not offer a distinct experience from the blood elves(high elves) beyond picking blue over red. they left the alliance leaving behind a couple scraps lurking around. any WC fan who respects the lore can tell you that

as for horde humans, did you skip bfa? a human pirate crew joined the horde

and

does that make sense to give horde playable humans because of a tiny splinter group

it is pretty sad that the best riposte to the ‘too few, no real settlements’ point from development is a few elves holed up in tiny a corner of dalaran and only appear in the context of dalaran

yea, i mean, development made it clear faction distinction matters. even among players, faction pride is a big part of WoW. but i dont see it happening until the game is nearly dead

I guess if all you care about is aesthetics and not lore, then maybe. That is a pretty shallow way of viewing the world though.

be mad casual

I’m shocked this thread hasn’t been locked.

Until you provide something more recent that contradicts it, “old lore” is still lore. That’s how lore works, no matter how long ago it was written or decided, it’s still canon until changed.

I didn’t say it was wrong lore, I just think it’s probably not reliable or up to date lore.

Normally I wouldn’t sing that tune, but I just know how rapidly wow lore changes.

it doesnt matter. high elves are playable as blood elves. as high elves are playable and the high elf experience playable with 2 flavors theres no damn point in copying it for the alliance to use because a couple are still around. its unfair to the horde and blood elves

I honestly couldn’t care less if there were some kind of human in the Horde if it made sense. The Void Elves have next to no individual lore and make an even poorer case for numbers but that was good enough for Blizz.

Just let these high elf hopefuls exhaust themselves.

It’s amusing watching them go through every stage of grief in the span of 10 minutes.

they really only have themselves partly to blame for that as they waste so much of their time on trying to get what they cant have

They don’t get to complain over people gloating, as themselves and their pleas were equally as obnoxious and exhausting to the rest of us. They are reaping what they sow.

I’m not trying to advocate playable High Elves, but they certainly had more of a foot in the door than Void Elves.

The numbers problem isn’t really the issue though. There’s a steady supply of void elves. There isn’t necessarily going to be a steady supply of non-void corrupted high elves who become loyal to the alliance.

They wanted to give alliance players something that felt like high elves but weren’t carbon copies.

Hopefully Velves get more customization-- i think they could benefit from some warm tones.
