How do you know what people had planned?
I’m sure MANY people had unsubbed for season four (since it was a content drought) and planned on coming back for pre-patch - maybe they planned on doing mage tower in pre-patch when there would be other things to do instead of just subbing for nothing but the mage tower?

The real issue is when it’s coming back.

I find your thought of being last min amusing. I heard about the mage tower over a week and a half ago. Hardly last min.
Temporarily: for a limited period of time; not permanently.

We’re talking about blizz letting us know they’re shutting down this “permanent” content (their words) 3 days before it happens when, as per this discussion thread, folks had plans to complete some of the MT during the content lull that is a pre-patch.
