I took what he said as he only heard about the mage tower existing a week and a half ago.
Which is kind of par for the course in this thread apparently; a lot of people in here leaving comments with no knowledge on the subject. So he is welcome lol
^^ This, exactly… I’m sure lots of people put off doing the mage tower until pre-patch because no one wanted to sub to a season 4 with no new content.
On a side note, I did have lots of fun in season four because i enjoyed the new dungeons for mythic plus… But if people didn’t raid or mythic plus, then season four was a complete content drought for them and I completely understand why they would have unsubbed until pre-patch.
We should have been given more than 3 days notice about this decision. People don’t check WoW news every day, it takes time for this information to get out.
“Why didn’t blizzard think ahead and tune the mage tower before the release of dragonflight talents so that there wasn’t any downtime in the first place?”
The secondary issue is why blizzard didn’t give us more than three days notice.
I just feel like being contrarian right now, so I could say, the Mage Tower has been up for many many months and why didn’t players complete it sooner. I dunno. As long as they activate it again who cares. Pre patch is always a mess. Something will be broken that they didn’t test for and someone will clear one of them at like 10% of the difficulty or something.
Also I think the title of the thread matters. It’s not “in bad taste”. That makes no sense.
I follow ya- it’s all just another example of “more of what blizz does to it’s paying customers that is-- in bad taste”. Don’t get caught up on the words too much though, it’s mostly baity.
Whoever thinks that pre patch and the biggest talent overhaul in 10 years is a good time to do challenging/ frustrating content is nuts IMO. The entire season 4 has been the end of the expansion.
It’s dumb they disabled Mage Tower. I agree. It’ll come back someday or it won’t. Have some dinner.
So you think getting your MT boss down to 5% is a great time to discover that your heal hits you for 10% less and you die instead of kill the thing? Ok, great, carry on then.
Same people doing this are the people that will come make a thread about how the game isnt balanced around MT anymore. lol
I mean that’s literally what mage Tower is about. Trying, failing, trying again. Even if you succeed, you can tweak and test your talents again in an actual encounter and see if some defensives or cooldowns help you more.
Much better than spamming rotations at target dummies.
