I spoke with a useless rep Today, he was not even aware of the issue nor about the unofficial workaround, then after he did his homework and I sent him some links he said that they were aware of the problem (lol) and that their QA team was working on a fix…no ETA on it…surprise surprise.

This bug finally took a toll on my computer and now it is being worked on. I will be staying off of the game till they fix it. It caused errors to which I could not fix myself.

After further diagnosing this " Lag " it does take a toll on your PC. It affects you Graphics Card, HDD/SSD wherever you have wow installed and your CPU. It forces them to have a Capacity of 90-100% which causes writing errors, i tested this by running a error log or event errors on windows. I noticed that everytime i completed a quest it would make a very static and non-normal noise, even caused the cpu fan to act abnormal…My best advice is to not even use a workaround cause even that might cause more errors on your part. May even have to replace certain parts …idk…either way dont force the addiction xD Its on their part and not yours, and yes they should add more days to the accounts effected cause preety much people who arent playing are losing time and money :x

So I had a patch today and I’ve turned in several quests and world quests and have not gotten any lag. I think it might be fixed. Yall should make sure your game is updated.

I was surprised because Blizz said they’d say something here… and well they didn’t Lack of communication blues!
So there was an actual patch today & SO FAR, it seems to have fixed it after some quick testing. Please report if it fixed it for you guys.
Should say patch Version 8.2.5.32144 - I also had a Battle net app update as well

It came just like it went away: We will never know.
Great news, Now please fix it on the PTR as well or we will have to go through all this crap again…
For now , looks like its fixed indeed. I’ll update later when I’m 100% sure.
If they really want to go the extra mile they’d offer the people who’ve not been playing some game time, but Blizzard cannot afford that… they’re pinching their pennies.

So far no.
Have you guys tested killing dungeon bosses? I think I got like a half-second freezing killing the last boss there, but may be only my imagination idk. I’ll test a bit more.
