OMG this is a awful omen. Blizzard wtf man…
I expected some communication on this today. If tomorrows maintenance doesnt have a fix in, people are really gonna start getting mad. You said the dev team was working on a fix last Thursday & so far nothing has changed.
And apparently I’m too short to read what Blizzard writes on the massive sign post, despite my goggles.
October 8. Not 7.
Wow. I need better glasses.
hello how about the read-only mode, does it harm the bios? because I see in the threads many people talking about the bios
No no. Someone just messed with their BIOS because they thought it could help when it doesn’t. The permission fix does not harm BIOS. Ignore what that poster said about messing with BIOS. You’re perfectly fine.
This is exactly what I was worried about and why people shouldn’t post information that can mislead or confuse others. /sigh
thanks
I literally check this thread a few times a day. It’s great you fine folks are keeping it bumped. It scares me that I had this happen on ptr today too.
You owe me $8 and counting blizzard
Well, Blizzard is staying true to it’s modus operandi…just saw on Wowhead that 8.3 content will be hitting PTR soon-ish. No wonder they don’t care about this, or any other major problem affecting it’s players. They are too busy giving us more content, instead of fixing these problems. Why break with tradition, huh Blizz?
Reporting in…
Same problem here, specially killing rares.
I had to stop it because its to damn annoying.
I was one of the original posters in this thread and I haven’t been able to chime back in due to being a new user. (Which is stupid, I’ve been on the WoW forums, even if not THIS new one for over a decade.)
Still going for me, and I’m getting fed up with it. I don’t have much money, I had to literally sell things to afford this two month period I paid for…and now I can barely even play during it. Getting pretty old.
2 weeks and counting + the bug being in the PTR. Is nobody paying attention to this thread? Blizz hello?
I gave up and wound up doing the work around. The fact this hasn’t been fixed yet and been made a top priority is insanity to me.
Just like the Leveling changes in 7.2.5 changes and many other threads. We get “Oh we hear you and we know” from blizz but no action in the hopes that it just gets swept under the rug.
The game is laggy all over now. Sometimes its 5 seconds before the looting box even pops up.
Blizzard you can try to blame MY settings and MY rig and MY connection, but do you think we ALL HERE have the SAME problem and its being caused by something on our end?
We all have different versions of windows, different video cards, different drivers, different mother boards, ram, internet providers, etc.
The ONLY common denominator here is YOUR GAME.
Im no Sherlock Holmes, but it seems very obvious where the problem lies.
We didnt ALL wake up the last week with problems suddenly on our end. Know what I mean?
Still nothing?
But we will not go quietly into that dark night!! Cry HAVOC, and let slip the trolls of war.
I get this too. Its pretty annoying. Seems to happen when turning in any sort of quest be it a world one or normal one and looting.
We should get some kind of credit to our game time this is beyond crazy 2 weeks going on 3 that this has been going on and they have yet to fix it. This is by far the worst service I have received from Blizz! HEy blue how about an update here some kind of update would be nice. You have paying customers who are about to cancel their subs and say screw bliz
Useful if works, though can’t test atm due to maintenance. If you want to make this batch script more convenient add this before pause >nul
start /d "E:\World of Warcraft\_retail_\" wow.exe
Just replace my filepath with your own to where wow is installed. This will automatically launch wow.exe after changing the permission settings in case something causes them to go back to normal.
