Lag/Jittering with every quest hand-in/Level up

People, I am sorry but blizz does not like to admit anything. Look how many reports had to come in before they would even consider that this issue was their fault. They had people checking everything, their internet, VIDEO DRIVERS LAWL, and so and so forth.

So with that being said, if this bug is damaging your hard drive, blizz will not accept responsibility. Best just not to play, or use the workaround provided. If your HHD does break, they will not accept the blame.

Blizzard this is a bad look, in a year of bad looks for your company. We have randoms on reddit figuring this out before a million dollar company. What are your techies doing exactly?

All do respect get your shizz together. You guys just keep FAILING! =)

Yeah, everytime you do that change it reverts back. After you close the game the BN will do an update to revert it.

I’ve taken to keeping the folder handy at the bottom of the screen since it keeps resetting, better than nothing at the moment.

I just think the blues should respond and I am honestly at my wits end with the lack of responses from them.

We pay to play the game and its quite annoying that things like this happen and in every patch a new issue comes.I repeat we pay to play the game so we have the right to complain about this.

You should know this by now. Blizzard is terrible at communicating with it’s player base. And any CM they does start interacting on a regular basis get layed off.

throwing my hat in the ring here, i get screen freeze/delay whenever i turn in a quest/emissary or get AP, only been an issue since tuesdays patch

Well honestly that’s terrible business practice. I guess I’ve worked retail too long, but I am used to the whole customer is always right deal and doing one’s best to appease said customer. I wish Blizzard would do that.

You would think we would have some kind of response and some kind of compensation for this a week of unbearable game play is a little ridiculous. Lets see if twitter can get any kind of update

I did not see anything there… Maybe I should complain on twitter… a shame since I hate twitter… would be nice to get a response here.

I just complained on twitter about it and the ticket i have open they keep wanting me to trouble shoot my computer what part of its not my computer are they not understanding… Do these people not talk to each other? The customer service on Blizz’s end has gotten horrible

This is the best way to fix the issues until Blizzard themselves patch it. Takes like 5 seconds tops right before you launch your game. Thanks! :sunglasses:

I shouldnt have to do this every single time I choose to load into wow

@Bearlife

Once you made the changes to the file, you need to load the game from the executable inside the Retail folder. You will have to enter your login info each time though. If you just play the game from that .exe, you won’t have to keep setting the file to read only. If you need to open Battlenet for any reason, the changes will be reverted.

Again we shouldnt have to do this in order to play a game we pay for. Bliz should have fixed it the minute it started.

Oh yes I completely agree. That’s what I’ve been saying since this started. It’s clearly not on our end, considering how many people are having this issue, yet they keep giving us the generic answers “update your drivers”, “clear your wtf folder”. Not to mention the complete lack of communication.

Its not on our end but my open ticket with them ingame wants to help me troubleshoot on my end and such which again shouldnt be a thing for multiple reasons. 1) I deleted everything wow related wow folder and all uninstalled reinstalled and when it was still happening I reformatted my computer. So please explain how this is on my end

@Mistybaby

Yes, of course they will tell you it’s something wrong on your end, it’s what they do. But in this case, it is not. I don’t know what this file is that seems to be the culprit, but they clearly messed up something, and they refuse to acknowledge that.

If you still want to play, then I suggest doing that workaround. Who knows, if the load spikes will harm our PC’s or not…they won’t even tell us that. I wouldn’t worry yourself with deleting folders, updating this or that…the problem is not on your end.

Same issue here.

So it looks like the temporary fix others have suggested is working like a charm!

Go into your retail → logs folder and change ‘Hotfix’ and ‘Tooltip’ to read only in properties, then launch the game from the folder not the battle.net launcher.
