I’ve heard other people say that they don’t get this problem on an SSD, only HDDs. Sadly I don’t have room on my SSD for WoW…
I have high end SSD’s and it still happens. You can watch it in Task Manager, when the lag happens CPU and GPU both spike to 100% load.
And still no bloody reply nor a fix from Blizzard. Way to go, “triple a company”.
Still doing this for me for every turn in. I started a new character for a Worgen and every turn in has lagged.
The incredibly frequent lag every quest complete (hidden or otherwise) is genuinely giving me a headache from the ‘vertigo’ of stopping and going in movement so constantly. Not going to play until they fix this.
Same issue here. Very annoying.
HDD for me I wish I could play it off my SDD but its too small and only enough room for OS.
Fully reinstalled the game and it’s still happening. (Disk usage spikes hard on HDD and SSD). Can we get an update?
They know about as much as we do if CS twitter is to be believed.
We would like some feedback on the issue, not just when you “feel the issue has been resolved”. No one expects you ( Customer Support) to have the answers, because you will know when the devs tell you. HOWEVER, we do expect to have some regular communication on what’s happening, so we know we are not being ignored.
Indeed. I am sick and tired of Blizzard always telling US to fix our computers when it’s CLEARLY a problem on their end. I don’t have addons, have rebooted since patch day when this started and have a high end internet connection. Fix it and stop blaming the players computers!!!
I’m seeing this problem occasionally. It happens sometimes when I accept or turn in quests, but not every time. It sometimes is happening when I just talk to an NPC and also was happening randomly in a dungeon I was running early. Also, since the new patch was released, I have been getting disconnected quite a lot.
It’s every quest in my case, rares, chests WQs.
Frustrated & grasping at straws here. Does anyone know if there is one kind of gpu is more likely to happen to? I have an Nvidia card myself.
I wouldn’t worry about any of that, seriously.
The fact that all these people are experiencing the same exact issue, and that no one had this problem prior to the patch, means that Blizzard has done something on THEIR end. Whether you have a particular kind of GPU does not matter at all. I highly doubt that everyone here has the exact same computer setup.
Just to throw another voice out there, I am having the same problem. Glad to know its not just me.
I have the same annoying bug, i lag as hell since the patch 8.2.5. Everything was fine before this. I have even did a ‘‘Watch and repair’’ on my battle net tool to see if it was that… Im glad to see im not the only one… Please Blizz fix this !
Well at least I am not the only one effected by this. hope a fix is released as its annoying, but still playable.
I am also having this problem I thought it was just me, happened since the patch. I knew it had something to do with retail becuase in classic this does not happen. I have even tried V syn off and on and tripple buffering off and on. I also tried turning off and on HPET This did not work either.
Yep, same thing happening here, whether I’m questing on my Alliance lowbie in Gilneas or turning in a world quest in Zuldazar on my main in war mode. Everything runs smooth until I click “complete quest,” then it lags for about a second, as if the client is communicating with the server.
