Quest: Handling it
missing Rune of Shadowbinding after combining it with quest item. I have the glorespore grip and the sophic vellum.
All that time to finally get the legendary axe to drop and now to be further gatekept because the game is bugged.
abandoning quest doesnt let me craft the item again
default UI does not show item in bag
it is not in item restore
script show prior quests as completed.
All im missing is the Rune of Shadowbinding. Please just mail the item to me. How can mailing the item to me cause double compensation if a bug fix is implemented? The item is soulbound and worthless outside of the quest.
Unfortunately it doesnt work that way bliuzzard wont just mail u a item u can open a stuck on quest ticket and ask and maybe and i stress MAYBE a GM can help u but thats a big MAYBE.
For the sake of keeping a record going for this. I’m 11 days without a solution to my issue. I have had 2 total responses from Blizzard customer service, both being automated, both not in any way assisting with my issue.
This level of complete disregard for the customer service experience in response to a game bug is frankly just disappointing. I’ve played this game since submitting a ticket meant receiving a visit in game from a GM. The lack of respect for the players time and intelligence is unacceptable.
I’ll ask again, if anyone from the team reads this, I currently have 2 tickets active in queue that I would appreciate a human response to, or better yet, keep silent, and just fix my issue. I would prefer a solution over an apology or reasoning at this point.

In case someone who ends up having this same bug comes across this forum post. My problem has been resolved. It required GM intervention to mail me a new Attuned Glowspore Grip to complete my quest. After 12 days without a viable response I took to X and sent a reply to @BlizzardCS. I received a response within 10 minutes, and my problem was resolved within 20.
So the thing is - there are no GMs on the forum. Your post is only being seen by us, your fellow players, and the SFAs when they’re on the clock. They’re the ONLY Blues you see posting here on CS and this kind of thing needs a GM.
BE FOREWARNED. You will likely get a templated response at first. This is normal, and only to try and direct players to resources where they can usually address issues without having to wait on tickets. Just hit the button to the tune of “I still need help.” That will kick the ticket back into the queue for a GM to directly look at.
Also - don’t stress too much about the ticket timer. It’s an estimation based on the oldest ticket in the system. It’s not the wait time for YOUR ticket specifically.
I wish I could say I havent done that. My ticket has been on-going since 2/29 and I saw all these posts stating the responses arent “AI” responses but rather templates. The responses I received had almost zero understanding of the issue going on. Just random statements on how I am SOL.
They said to submit a bug report (did that) and that I have to wait for a fix to be implemented. I honestly dont mind not getting the item at this point. I am more upset at the hundreds of thousands of gold on mats and timegated quests. I am sure no refund is possible as well but one can hope someone with empathy picks up the ticket.
I guess I am more writing about the ongoing frustration with blizzard support lately.
Id say its more coincedence the team that covers the forums are the same ones that handle the twitter feed and arent GMS they dont intervene except odd circumstances.
Bit of a long shot, but did you try a full UI reset? It doesn’t seem clear whether you had. I’ve had things disappear on me before, reappear with the full reset. Worth a try anyway, if you hadn’t yet.
Note: None of reloading, relogging, or disabling add-ons, are the same thing.
Log out of WoW
Disable any add-on managers
Delete the cache folder
Move (or rename) the WTF and interface folders
By moving or renaming those two folders, you can always restore your client back to its prior customised glory.
Ran wowhead scripts to see if quests are completed
Abandon and re-picked up quest
Because i completed the pre-req quests, I no longer have access to re-craft a new item, since the previous quest used up the “rune” that needed to be attuned to the shadow-binding.
I cant go back in time and have the legendary available for anything. S3 ends soon so its almost pointless to get it at this point other than have it available so I can upgrade it in S4.
By the way, that is not a full UI reset. Disabling an addon is NOT the same as completely removing all history of it and starting the game up in its stock default mode.
Please follow the steps listed in the support article so you can rule out any issues concerning UI or addons.
this happened 2/29 and after actually talking with a human being it was resolved within 10 min. What is the point of submitting a ticket or a bug report or anything lol. sad sad sad. So happy I can enjoy this legendary for a few days lmao
Submitting a bug report gives the developers a chance to investigate your report. Find out if the issue is working as intended, and if not issue a fix if they can, or a policy change if they can not.
The policy change specifically addresses if a GM can handle a given issue by ticket, or if the GM staff has to wait for a fix by the developers, or not if working as intended.
