Lack of Male leaders in WoW

Did darkspear trolls officially get a new leader? Is it Rokhan now? If so thats awsome!

Technically isnt forsaken: M M M F F?

They have that new desolate council or something with 2 or 3 men, calia, and whats her face.

More on topic: we acrually have pretty balanced leaders on both factions. Ill do alliance to fit with this one.

Human M x2 KT F x2
Night elf F & M
Dwarf M x2 (3 if you count the baby) F x1
Gnome M mechagnome M
Draenei M Lightforged F
Worgen M
Void elf F & M
Panda F

Plus Dracthyr are led by 2 men

Now that i type it all out its still male dominant for leaders. OP doesnt have much to stand on.

Actually its captain Fareena or something like that. At this point Turalyon is the human leader.

Your also missing thrall and the desolate council (or what ever their called) with calia and some more forsaken.

i do think rokhan is the new leader of the darkspear

Calia is not forsaken. Nor is she welcome in the Horde.

We live in a world where being in the sex trade because you want to drive a nice car and not bag groceries is defended by society, there’s a reason “toxic” masculinity is on the way out the door in video games.

Like it or not the forsaken have accepted her as a member of the forsaken and the desolate council. We had a whole quest chain on this.

Just the racial behaviors. The Horde was a more loose confederation and the Forsaken were explicitly only members out of necessity. The Night Elves, while allies, were aloof in their tree.

Which has lead to a massive decline in gaming as whole now.

loot boxes and instant gratification, screw understanding backstories, listen to the majority and follow along folks

escorts are a sort of loot box now that I think of it

And with that one joke you have won me over. Anyone who can make fun of Baine with a good joke is true horde.

I would argue that is part of why it is on the rise, because it is explicitly the idea that as long as you can pay for it, it is socially acceptable to have your way with another person.

I have never done any lootboxing of anything. Lootboxes are a pure Activision thing. They put that into almost all of their games. It is legally been defined as gambling and now some countries are beginning to ban all games that have lootboxes in them.

Fareena is one of the 5 champions of the Lightforged but she isn’t the leader.

Thrall never officially took up the throne again and sure I’ll add the council but it’s not going to help the OP.

Honestly, some of these weren’t an issue but I definitely agree in that Rastakhan’s death happening felt bad and left a terrible taste in my mouth. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing wrong with Talanji, but it’s obvious King Rastakhan was nothing other than fuel for her own story.

And that’s a shame considering King Rastakhan for over a decade plus had been someone who was a mystery but had inspired troll kind along the land and made waves with simple instructions. It’s bad juju he was killed off so quick after players finally had an opportunity to interact with him, and quite frankly, he had been a cool character. I loved the fact he was flawed and had obvious issues, but also redeeming qualities.

social acceptance is crazy, especially in a world where successful developers refuse to make a stand. I have so much respect for wikipedia and their avoidance of using ads to keep running.

I feel like the male stereotype is supposed to be extreme, and as such is supposed to be interpreted as negative, no matter how soft the general public becomes… This thread has me reminiscing of Johnny Bravo

Why did this get moved to the Story Forums? I remember seeing this thread in GD. I don’t agree with the premise at all, and “the wrong kind of fans” are all over this thread. This is what I mean when I say the community is horrible.

Wokeness has ruined much of gaming. And it’s not because there can’t be masculine women and feminine men, but because you can’t make a proper villain or masculine race without offending. You end up with shallow Saturday morning cartoon villains and Klingons with social equity mantras.
