But I’m also not having an issue with things apparently randomly disappearing for people?
My warrior did his dailies in there and killed an elite and got 207 pants, an upgrade from the 168 blues I was wearing. There are plenty of people around so you don’t find yourself trying to solo those rares.
I have my criticisms but some people will NEVER be pleased.
Give em an inch, they want the entire world handed to them on a silver platter.
It’s funny, you see these threads where “casuals” complain that “elite” players don’t want them to have gear, then as soon as a long-tail progression system is added for “casual” (anti-social) players to grind their hearts out to get gear, they whine that it isn’t easy enough to get. It’s absurd.
This grind is supposed to take you multiple months to complete by design. That is the point. You are not supposed to get your gear quickly and be done. It is something that anti-social players can engage with for the entirety of the patch and continue to see upgrade all the way until 9.2. You are not supposed to be finished in a month or two.
We’re only on week 1 folks: relax. The more campaign stuff you unlock the more Korthia opens up and has more quests/reps to turn in. You can get rank 3 already this week. Rank 4 by next.
lol…based on THOUSANDS of relevant posts theyve made, what they actually want is LFR removed and to have sole control over who sees end game raiding entirely.
I imagine people want to get more use out of the gear than they spend getting the gear. Actually reminds me of something in the real world, people working till they are in their 60s then retiring for their 10 years of rest lol.
I am a casual player and I really like this aspect about 9.1. I now have a non-story goal to reach that does not involve raid grinding and that I can do at my own pace. I was considering quitting but this improvement changed my mind.
Yep and this is why I didn’t resub - new broken systems that aren’t even finished yet or even worse they are finished and they are intended to keep us just grinding/playing mindless.
I was actually really happy to be able to get decent gear via just world content (as it should be) but nope it will require months on end of grinding why did I expect anything more. Not everyone should be forced to raid/PvP/Mythic+ to just get decent gear - you should only need to do those things if you want the BEST gear for that type of content.
Doesnt PVP have the best gear rated outfits now? Pretty sure they do and you really only need to do 10 games a week to get that stuff. I dunno whats more casual than 10 games a week for the best stuff in the game.
Great points and suggestions OP. I haven’t read anything else in the thread but im sure it will be full of MHP’s and Pandas, and maybe even an undead dressed like a clown from outland telling you that you’re wrong, and should be thankful to have what we did get in Korthia, and that you are just playing it wrong/asking for too much rewards outside of raiding.
Edit: I was right, minus the Panda and plus the druid.
It’s just insane. Korthia’s gear acquisition is everything it should be and you get stupid posts like this. I shouldn’t expect anything less from GD but it’s still obnoxious. OP should say “Thank you” to Blizzard but is instead whining and it is obnoxious.
It’s also worth saying if you’re an anti-social player, your 233 gear will carry you into the anti-social content of the next patch, just like your 197 Covenant gear got you started on this patch.
Your gear isn’t “play the patch” if you don’t do end-game content, it will be constant progression that carries forward. Play-the-patch only applies to actual end-game content.
It feels just like Benthic without the op stats that created issues in BFA, so I like it a lot. It’s good enough for most content (all that I do as a casual), but it isn’t gonna force someone who doesn’t like open world to do it.
