Game crashes in Fullscreen mode on older AMD graphics cards
There is a known issue where certain supported graphics cards may crash while in fullscreen mode. To fix the problem, you can launch the game in windowed mode:
Open the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop App and select the WoW tab
Click Options and select Game Settings from the dropdown menu
In Game Settings, activate the option Additional command line arguments. Type in the following:
-windowed
“Unable to Start up 3D Acceleration” with third party overlays running
Some players are experiencing crashes while changing graphics settings in game. Based on our investigations, these appear to be caused by background programs with overlays. Please try disabling any background applications if you are having this issue, especially any which draw an overlay on top of the game client.
World of WarCraft Not Updating with Error BLZBNTAGT00000840
This is a known issue that can occur when a patch is pushed. The following steps will workaround the issue:
Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC, and locate the WoWVoiceProxy.exe or World of WarCraft Voice Proxy process then End Task.
We’re aware of issues with the IPv6 setting on the game client not functioning correctly. The Quality Assurance team is investigating this bug and looking for a resolution.
We are currently investigating distorted sounds from Death Knight characters which may cause audio crackling in WoW Classic. This includes when playing the class or simply being around a Death Knight. A possible workaround until this issue can be resolved is disabling the DSP Effects. When in-game, please type the following command in chat:
